And when Goodluck/Yar'Adua tried to do so earlier what happened? Didn't these same APC noise makers instigate a nationwide noise making session and media attacks to thwart the move? Now Buhari is planning to do the same thing. What sort of nonsensical fraud has Nigeria entered into?

Get your facts, is OBJ that privatized.

But Buhari said privatization has not epped PHCN to improve power supply as it was sold to PDP cronies, perhaps he wants to sell the refineries to APC cronies to balance out the action of PDP in the power sector?

Stop being myopic hungry man. Rich men do not differenciate among one another. If federal government wants to be sensitive with this auction, they need to find a way to cover some prominent men from Nigeria Delta, otherwise there will always be militancy down there.

Watch out how one Muhammed something will buy the refinery in Port Harcourt and expect the neighbourhood to watch over it for him for free.
But i bet my last money that the Refinery in Kaduna can never be bought by any one from South South or South East even if the person is Buhari's friend. Can we bet on it?
Some of you will think i am preaching disunity or something like that but the truth is that i am preaching the reality. You cant eat with your enemy if you don't have a long spoon.

You can't Kill Saro Wiwa, Jail Tompolo and Asari, give oil license to Atiku, Danjuma, Indimi etc and expect Peace. You must be daft to think the peace will last forever.
I am not from ND but every sensitive government do not use force to settle its internal problems.

Can l tell you this. They have just succeeded in making Nigerians accept the 145 pms due to long scarcity. And Nigerians are saying, "145 is not to much, after all, we bought for 200 and 380" in the past.

Now they are coming to buy Business for retirement.

some pple re so senseless here. Didnt u pple see d good in privatization of nigerian's refineries atall? What bunch of underated illiterate pple re we dealing with self. If nigera refinery is being privatized, definitely those investors wil serve us better, although dere mayb some chanledges in d begini, but @ d end u gonna see obviously dat problem wit oil sectors in nigeria wil end. Lookin @ NEPA, d only tin we can jst blame d FG for, is by not distributin prepaid meter for evry houses in nigeria, b4 dey privatized NEPA. If dere were prepaid meter all around, believe it or leave it, we wont av power default as it used to b in dis country, because ds meter is lyk telecommunication, what u dont use, u cant pay 4 it nao. infact, we av loaded our prepaid meter @ early feb, nd we re stil enjoyin it, cox deres no constant lite. So if ds meter is being distributed nation wide, how do u thik d officials of nepa wil eat? Because if dere aint steady lite, d loaded card wont get finish, nd users wil not go to reload, so definately, dey wil gear up to make d power steady..but snc dey stil av like 75 percent of nigerians without prepaid meter, den dey av some cash to acquire @ d end of every months. Ogo ta, ogo ota, owo alaaru a pe nao. Snc landlords wil not want PHCN to disconnect their wire from poles, because of d embarrassment it wil bring to dem among their colleagues, definately dey wil go to banks nd pay manually @ d end of evry months, dey wudnt want to kno, weda PHCN serve them light in dat month very well or not.

THE FG is about to sell lemons to unsuspecting investors, an ultra modern refinnery(600,000bpd) running the latest petrochemical process and located in a peaceful area is about to come on board come 2018.....
ANY body dat buys Nigerias refinery is in for it and will never recoup his investment, look at NITEL, NEPA and so many other govt entities that have been sold

If there are smart business men in the Niger Delta, they should be the ones bidding for the refineries in their region. They can even partner to run the refineries as business entities and conglomerates, just as South Western & Northern business men form strong business partnerships. But no, they won't do that, they will all scream, cry & complain till someone who is more innovative takes the opportunity, and then they cry again. You see the problem of Niger Delta has always been the Niger Delta.

Dangote's refinery is in Lagos, not Kano, Minna, Kaduna etc. Cement factories in Ethiopia, Kenya etc.
Globacom, MTN are in Ghana etc.
Etisalat is an Emirate company in Nigeria. And so on...
It makes no difference. A mentality as such will take you nowhere. Bridges are a means of connection, trade, and economic movement. No land can survive in isolation.

Niger Delta billionaires can invest in the refineries, but they probably won't. But when a Musa, Tunji or Obi invests in it, it becomes 'marginalization'. The South South billionaires need to believe in forming partnerships and strong business conglomerates.

But then, is there any use enlightening one who's life support system is based on darkness? Especially when they don't want the light, to enjoy blaming in the dark.

NEPA wasn't properly privatised, public facilities were just given out to 'friends of the govt' with reckless abandon. That notwithstanding, the real reason why power is zero today is because there are people with dynamites in their hands who have sworn that they would ensure no improvement in power supply. Escravos and Agip gas pipelines that supply gas to the main gas power stations have been blown several times this year alone. So next time you think privatisation is the problem, try and take a broader look of what the situation really is.

Abeg Make we hear word!

Did any niger delta person bid for those oil blocs and was denied a license??
Mrs Alakija has an oil bloc, even Emeka Offor has. Whatever the niger delta people are going through now is 40% their fault and 60% the fault of their leaders. They lack visionary leaders.

Who has peace helped in solving the niger delta conflict, by the way. Even if as we speak, alot of these niger delta boys are still receiving amnesty money for doing absolutely NOTHING. The various oil companies in the region still carry out their corporate social responsibilities. My friend, please, what else do they want? Make we leave naija for them ni?

Before you start attacking me, note that i am typing from the creeks right now. I have seen the ijaw people, with my two eyes, for who they are. So this is not hearsay.

PS: i mean no disrespect to any ijaw brother on this forum please.
