The correct is number plates, not the other way round. Mods should correct that error please. That error is still on the front page.

Even some police on the road do ask your car plate number as they go through the car documents. But its not an offence anyway

You tried very well. I knew most of them before now, though.
I wonder who knows about Abuja's number codes. FCT has only 6 area councils, but the codes are more than that.
I'm only sure of these which correspond to the 6 area councils:
ABC - Abuja Municipal
ABJ - Abaji
BWR - Bwari
GWA - Gwagwalada
KUJ - Kuje
KWL- Kwali

The ones I don't know where they got them from are:
RBC
YAB
RSH

It is only when you have one car that you will remember the no. it is not easy to cram the nos. The drivers of the vehicles know their plate nos.
