It's a nice looking Tugboat, however, why does it take the military so long to build this stuff. I mean we've been this boat for the past 3 years. A project which shouldn't take more than 6 months to build.

I posted a photo of this vessel while under-construction 3 years ago.

May be issues arose with integrating the WaterMota components onboard.

maybe it was undergoing some testing and modification.

Maybe, or maybe financing was an issue.

The picture of the tugboat looks much more smaller in the picture. The tugboat in the video I watched looks bigger.............

fortunately they are the same. The Tugboat was built at the Port-Harcourt Shipyard.

In all, it's a pretty decent looking Tugboat, going forward we should see more photos of it. It would be officially launched this week. I just Nationalhelm.com and Naij.com take good photos of it.

I think it look so small because of the perspective in which the picture was taken. Look at how small those men working under the boat look.
But why does the boat look so rusted?

Lol that's not rust. That's the steel used in building the boat. Steel does not rust. It would be painted in red.

That is rust but it surface level and not a issue. Just a cloth with thinners would do the job. You could just prime it. Over the rust inter prime paint would do the job. But a good wipe down is all ways best. O Interprime is not all ways red it can be grey.

As for why. Well bare metal does that over night.

me me grin grin

this looks like the GS-2R Universal Day-Night Sight
it actually is wink wink
must be either a Russian derivative or east European derivative (high chances Belarus origin)
3x optical magnification
1x night vision (attachment) magnification
power source for both
Dioptric adjustment +/-4dptr ( Dioptric adjustment allows for fine-tuning of the viewfinder focus to suit an individual’s eyes)
etc

actually one of the circles you can see serves as a attachment point for clip-on night vision devices / thermal imaging devices.

it is a pretty rugged device and very much protected from environmental degradation's smiley smiley

Dialogue is the answer!

I can't say your above caption is a good thing. I'll say, this is simply routine re-armament.

I'm sure they are re-used. "Why destroy a perfectly good ammunition?".

Yeah...... But isn't this what breeds the corruption?

We can all see two helicopters, possibly there are more also. Going down the line we should be able to get clearer pictures of equipment acquired.

As long as the procurement is done G2 TO G2 and the current market price is what is paid then we can slightly relax.
There was a supplemental Emergency procurement soon after PMB came to power.
The UK it is strongly believed sent a Naval warship chock full of small arms late December 2015 early 2016 .
There also was a meeting the results of that meeting are becoming clearer by the day ( This is a fact, i cannot say anything else)

As the Military pushes into the Sambisa Forest enclave of Boko Haram terrorists’, the Nigerian Air Force said on Tuesday that it has intensified efforts to get its Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) fitted with missile guided weapon systems for combat roles. The Chief of Army Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar made this known on Tuesday at a meeting with the management of the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA).AdvertisementAccording to Abubakar, the Air Force will be leveraging on an existing Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with NASRDA to fasts track collaborative measures to improve the air force rocketry and missile propulsion system.

You won't expect the NAF not to improve on their rocket system.
