Fumade: It is simple...there are grievances. You think the NDA really care about Dasuki and kanu? It is just to create sentiments and make people supporting these guys to identify with them. I for one will not thread the path of destruction the NDA guys are ... But it doesn't change the fact that I hurt inside. No government has really taken steps to solve the ND problems...all the policies are just to enrich few they think can keep a leash on others. If you lot are objective enough, you will condemn the actions of the group and also pressure the government to sit down and take genuine steps to end grievances. Not just bribing their way out. I say again...all oil blocs allocated needs to be retrieved and treated as a national resource. I see that as a first step to show governments desire to create long term solutions. Thinking about it, if this present government is fighting corruption genuinely, that should be done...not just those with political undertone. 4 Likes |

Fumade: Why are you concerned about someone destroying his own land? How is that your headache? The real selfish Vandals are from the North and they have exploited this region for long. To hell with what you think. Those pipes should be blown up completely and if that's what will bring hunger to Nigeria so be it. You can't all feed from a region you call 5%..... Let the parasitic 97% do the feeding. 2 Likes |

falseman: Lol.. The Oil does not belong to me according to the law. Even the 13% is not given to me but to the Government of the State. My Community is not half bad in terms of development. Before the advent of greedy politicians in the community, Chiefs that got greedy, A King who sold his soul to the devil and the Youths got extremely stupiid, we were on the right path towards a really good commercially diversified community. I have been to Abuja, my family owns properties in Abuja. Beautiful place. But if you think its just Oil Money that was used to build up Abuja, then you have lost the plot entirely.. ![]() The reason for the state of the Niger Delta today is the greed and short-sightedness of the Niger Deltans. I am not abolving the IOC's of any part in the issue (especially with regards to Environmental degradation), but the Niger Deltans take the brunt. I have worked in an IOC, participated in several MOU's, I am privy to highly confidential information of developmental projects earmarked and embarked on by the IOC's to their host communities under CSR. I have also witnessed first hand how the greed of the Community leaders have stiffled growth in the community. How these leaders shortchange the community in exchange for quick money in hand. Just a few weeks back, a guy I had just met made mention of a WORLD CLASS (Empahsis on WORLD CLASS) Glass factory that was to be built by Total in OML 58 Community in Rivers State.. Go and find out how the community leaders fhucked that laudable project up due to their greed. Chevron, Mobil, Agip and Total comnibed have sank over half a trillion Naira into CSR projects around the Niger Delta in the last 10 - 15 years and yet nothing can be seen of all that investment because it ends up in people accounts and not in the community. Most of the High Risers you see in Abuja and Lagos are built by Private investors and Individuals, If you had that kind of Money to build those fantastics structures, would you build it in the Niger Delta? ![]() Seaports.. ![]() The Niger Delta Man does not own Oil Blocs because when these blocs are put up for bid, they are too busy eating fresh fish and drinking palmmy and womanizing to care. Shey the Government has put up our refineries for sale, how many Niger Delta billionaires have considered buying up atleast PHC, Eleme and Warri Refineries? Keep hating the North for their business and political savvy.. Those Mallams and Abokees are United in their cause. Keep hating the West for their foresight in investing in their future.. The Yoruba man for all he is is very forward thinking when it comes to develpmental strides. Go see what is happening in Ogun state. Keep hating the Easterners who despite the odds stacked against them continue to make ground breaking strides daily. The Igbo man (Thank God for this part of my genetic marker) will go to hell and find a way to survive and sell fire to the Devil. Let us wait for the Oil Money to be paid into our accounts whilst we sit at home and sleep because the oil is in the Niger Delta. Despite all the Ministries, Parastatals, Boards, Agencies, Special Laws, e.t.c set up just for the region like: the "Oil Mineral Producing Area Development Commission" (OMPADEC), Niger Delta Development Commision (NDDC), Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) and the Local Content Law, Niger Delta Basin Development Authority (NDBDA), Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, Amnesty Commission, e.t.c... All these and more and yet the Niger Deltans can't tap into these and move the region forward.. ![]() Negro puleeeeze!! You can't tell me Nothing right now about the Niger Delta.. ![]() 8 Likes 2 Shares |

And if there was no oil in the Niger Delta, there would be no country called Nigeria, as the Hausa's, Yoruba's would have divided the Country ever before you were born, its because of the Oil that the aforementioned tribes are still glued to the One Nigeria, if the say its not oil, they should try growing a non oil economy like the Igbos and leave us with our oil.... ![]() ![]() greatgod2012: |

tempest01: God bless you for your objective post. I like people who reason like this. yes there are grievances but don't you sense a political undertone here? Nigerian govt isn't doing enough agreed, I wrote something about that in one of my works but the Niger-Deltans allow themselves to be used against themselves I believe if they can take a United front and appoint unselfish people who can really negotiate for them and of course they should begin to vote leaders who are not just focused on their pockets the people. the truth is Niger-Delta youths protect politicians and not the poor people that's the truth. the youths can kill themselves for politicians but they cannot stand up in a sensible manner to fight for their rights. you and I both know that this bombings is not the best way. Niger-Deltan youths especially are very selfish. they lack leaders and that's because of the kind of people they themselves are. people that would queue behind the highest bidder during elections how do you think you can get sincere leaders through that. gov't is wrong in some wsys and I believe with dialogue and some sincerity peace can be achieved. However i believe that the problem of underdevelopment in ND is down to the people they choose as their leaders, their own sons of the soil. |

kelechi17: And you really think BUHARI is responsible for your "SUFFERING SINCE". You think Yoruba or Hausa is the reason you're suffering? You think the those at the helm of affairs in NDDC, DESOPADEC, OMPADEC and the likes are the Hausas and Yorubas? You think Governors in the Niger Delta are Hausas and Yorubas? Have you seen the so called request of these criminals? Which of them is for the welfare of the people of the Niger Delta? I guess the last six years before Buhari came into power were ran by a Yoruba or Hausa man: Six months time from today, we shall see the repercussion of all these barbaric acts. I guess I am being affected by the menace of Boko Haram in the North East. |
