cor‧rupt 1 / kərʌpt / adjective

1 using your power in a dishonest or illegal way in order to get an advantage for yourself OPP incorruptible :
Corrupt judges have taken millions of dollars in bribes.

2 immoral or dishonest :
a corrupt society
officials engaged in corrupt practices

3 something that is corrupt is not pure or has been damaged or partly ruined :
corrupt data

These are definitions of corruption according the Longman Dictionary of contemporary english. Nigeria fits perfectly in all definitions

1. There are so many corrupt people in Nigeria who use their power in a dishonest or illegal way to get an advantage for themselves. In politics, security, academia, religion and business.

2. Nigeria as a country is immoral or dishonest. High levels of insecurity, terrorism, greed, theft, etc are rampant in Nigeria.

3. Nigeria as a country is corrupt in the sense that it is damaged and ruined. Nigeria is a damaged and ruined country because of Nepotism and tribalism, failed governments, lack of infrastructure, decay in moral values etc.

The word Corruption should not be seen as looting the treasury alone.. We can even get corrupt by the way we laugh, walk, talk, run, and even the way we eat/drink.

Any forms of erroneous or debased pattern that is different from the normal habit, directly or indirectly is Corruption.... And it must start with you there... not just carrying banners around.

They should do whatever necessary to stop corruption, unfortunately they are all corrupt in one way or the other too.

The EFCC officials should know that someday, these things they are fighting will return to hunt them.
Thats why they need our support.
Evil never goes away completely, never.

The job of the EFCC is to prosecute criminals not to embark on campaigns. The job of anti-corruption crusading is that of the government through the various ministries but especially the ministry of the interior and the ministry of information and the NOA. Focus your energies on securing convictions and doing a thorough job with your investigations.
