If DCC mean direct currency conversion, it means merchants will allow me pay in my local currency. Since banks are not remitting dollars to these merchants, why are they charging at black market rate?

I'm a little confused here, or i'm getting something wrong?

I was thinking this too. Stanbic also told me they will eventually charge their prevailing dollar rate. This was about 2 weeks ago.

Lol,..I know these banks are not loyal.... They can do any manipulations to cheat anyone. I know this is how it will end. After payment, they will later deduct additional fee for nonsense reasons. There are some banks no matter their rates, are not trustworthy...
