I get tired when I hear intellectuals talk like this, when they crippled the economy during OBJ's time, who suffered? It was me and you that lost our jobs and source of livelihood. Stop talking out of hate and racial prejudice. The government cannot afford to standstill and watch while the sovereignty of Nigeria is challenged by whosoever, be it militants, be it Bokoharam, IPOB or even OPC. We need to stop supporting what is wrong and source for ways to amicably settle our differences. Just so you know the oil companies whose installations this NDAs are attacking already have an MOU with their host communities which has been used in empowering them so why should they bear the brunt of foolish decisions by our government and self-centred citizens. People working in these companies have started losing jobs while all our senators, ministers and presidential team are yet to lose theirs. Obviously you still have a job so you think you can't be touched by the ailing economy but you can never be sure.

We all suffered it and did use of force stop them during OBJ administration? no, so why will it work now
these guys hold FG on the balls and the government should negotiate because use of force will never stop anything.
years of neglect caused this and even due criminals have hijacked the struggles it doesn't change the fact that the ND people feels cheated not only by FG but also by their politicians too

Yes. The south south is made up of the following states: Akwa-Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Rivers

The Niger Delta on the other hand is historically and cartographically made up of today's Bayelsa, Delta and River's states. Oil producing does not mean Niger Delta.

Yes!!! That's right. The FG has been patient enough. Now is the time to show that the sovereignty of this government cannot be toyed with. Just imagine that we'd chosen to dialogue with BH, we would have had to be earmarking billions of naira every year for amnesty for both real and 'fake' terrorists. But BH is having it hot now and we're even turning down their overtures for peace. Same should apply for these prideful militants.
