Lmao! That's life for you (especially in Nigeria) Steal 1000 naira and u labelled as a thief and you could be beaten to death or burnt with tyres. Steal 1Billion naira and it won't be called stealing but Fraud, Mismanagement of Fund or Embezzlement. Na dat Mismanagement of fund dey vex me pass. Someone that doesn't know what's up might just have the impression that you were not a good manager of funds. Check out the people that have stolen Millions and Billions in this country, they move freely without any stigma. I hear people say they can't steal cos they have a name to protect. That applies only when you still small money. Try and steal something huge you'll see the fame you'll have. If Tafa Balogun's Son or daughter wants to marry in Nigeria today, He/she will marry from a good family without anyone saying the family name has been dragged in mud. Welcome to Nigeria! Tho it might be same in many other countries. |

naijaboy756:Like a colleague of mine used to say, Management preach and scream integrity, yet they have none of it. It's a case of double standard. .. Do as I say and not as I do. |

naijaboy756:You have to understand the Nigerian Banking system and the rots involved. These banks maintain dual accounting system method whereby, they have internal records that the directors keep, they have records that will be presented to the Apex Bank whenever there is external auditing of these banks. Note that these external auditors,do compromise whenever fraud is been dictated within the system, likewise internal auditors hence it is very hard to blow up the fraud to the open. These banks also do have dual records for their foreign correspondent banks. The one they present to the Apex Bank auditors during inspection and their own internal records whereby they keep their secret external transactions. Unless thorough forensic experts are been used to look into their records, it will be extremely very hard to dictate the monumental fraud within the banking sector. |

naijaboy756:I think you post should be centred around poor corporate governance in Banks and honestly, in Corporate Nigeria. I was shocked to hear that the MD of Fidelity Bank was reinstated after he was released previously and this was after a public announcement made by the Bank installing an acting MD. How about Access Bank, First Bank and Sterling Bank that were caught up in the mix too. The MDs' of these Banks should have been removed regardless of whether the Board of Directors were aware of the transactions. CBN should sanction the removal. However, the CBN governor is also the Chief Implementator of the shenanigans. |

whine all you want..... You just wish you can also be a control or audit person too.... if you have problems declaring an overage in the cash transactions you handle, then just resign cos you arent fit for the banking sector..case closed.. LuckyLadolce: |

steppin:Them tell u say top positions no just by hard work? Most peeps work hard than the MD self but still they are stagnant. Most rich thieves cajole fools that is the reward for their hard work they are reaping, they are smart ass. They work smart and not work hard. When u apply wisdom u surpass those that work tirelessly n hard in no time. Dem no be d same ooo. These mofo steal with pen, brain etc. While those that work hard do it with strength, interest and devote and dedicate their time and yet nothing to show. No be by strength o. |

banks in nigeria profits mainly from crime eg moneylaundering and there is a nigerian bank who prefers to pay fines for moneylaundering rather than desist from it. |
