I have only heard this logic from Nigerians about investing loot in the country and all worth not.

Who will want to work hard when you mates are hitting it big by looting or fronting for looters? Who wants to go through the rigours of building a honest business when graft reigns supreme, and you need to bribe to get your proposal even noticed? What's the incentive to execute a government contract to the highest quality with a tidy profit, when you can grease few palms and make super profit so you don't really need to bid for a second contract. The longevity of such projects is the problem of the unfortunate souls who are yet to know someone to open looting doors for them.

These Nigerian logic really tire me

o boy na in de reign o. investment wen de generate rent seeking. real sector requires too much work so they prefer landed property they can sell later and besides even ordinary Nigerians. how many of us think beyond house rent and parties. it's just a reflection of society. what we need to do is get into positions of power, loot and show them what real developmental investment looks like. imagine buying walk behind tractors instead of okada by the thousand while they are doing owambe in Dubai. or setting up off grid turbine in industrial estate while they are buying private jets, or you build low cost housing with leverage from banks while they are sharing rice on election day.
