SCRAPS NYSC SCHEME


The Federal government has scrapped the
National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in a bid to
cut down spending.


This was reached after today's Federal Executive
Council Meeting. It will be recalled that the
Federal Government had scrapped Post UTME to
enable JAMB carry out its statutory responsibility
of conducting admissions into the nation's
Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of
Education.


Meanwhile, all youth corps members currently
serving now will be allowed to round off their
service year with full financial benefits.

Lolz, anybody in its right sense wouldn't even appreciate such a move if it were true... Am sure that scheme is not something even d FG can wake up one morning and scrap plus the fact that most students see it as an identity to step into the Labour market...

NYSC is d only tin dat help most students stay keep for a year while d plan on how to face d unemployment situation of d country and yet some people here celebrate 4 it's removal as am sure most them don't even know how much these students currently in school pray to wear those kaki... Think b4 u celebrate any move as there must at least be a viable option
