QUA IBOE river has nothing to do with igbos. The relationship between Igbos and the Ibibios/Efiks was domiciled around the slave trade at arochukwu and the calabar river.

QUA IBOE river is where Akwa Ibom is derived from. It's a European contraption of an Efik word which means Ibom river literally.


That said, igbos and ibibios/Efiks are peaceful neighbours unlike what others in this thread are trying to portray.

Out of all SS group, Cross river and Akwa Ibom were the biggest allies of Biafra you dimwit. Majority of the soliders that were stationed in those two states during the war were predominately from that area. Akwa ibom/Calabar people have been neighbours with the Igbos(Abia State area) for centuries and they stood beside their Igbo neighbours during the civil war.
