Most people i know wont vote for APC but the question is, do we have a better choice? We need a new vibrant political party filled with educated, patriotic and young people to move the nation forward. APC n PDP are all birds of the same feathers.
Our politicians are lazy, they want to have it on a silver platter! And speaking of which, apc would've been buoyant if it had won rivers elections.

If Buhari is blocking the use of state funds to finance APC, that is good leadership. Political parties are private associations and should self-finance.

I don't understand this OP, are political parties supposed to be funded from sleaze funds?

Does controlling the FG supposed to give the ruling party free access to unlimited funds as was the case with PDP?

What are the legitimate ways of generating funds for the party?

Elsewhere, in America Donald Trump as part of his campaign raised $5.6m for American veterans, yet our parties are here looking for awoof to run party's affairs. SMH

Liars. APC is the most corrupt party ruled by murders, haters of the country, dividers, racists and tribal bigots. How come you jailed Ambrose Ali and even the then civilian vice president for alleged corruption while putting president Shehu Shagari on house arrest for a mere two weeks.
Buharis bigotry and hatred and hypocricy is his undoing. Big thief
Hope you know shagari is banned from politics for life till date.#Wailers

I think you should still vote the APC for now as there is no viable alternative. The PDP is yet to register on the radar and not for another year and a half or two.

It is a pity that our parties depend on elected officials for funds to run their activities. That is why our parties are nothing more than political platforms for contesting elections.
Political parties are meant to be financially independent and self-sufficient. There should be a certain amount of money that each member will pay as dues from the ward level up to the national level.
Seeking funds from politicians is one reason why our politics is highly monetised and only those with bottomless pockets are allowed to stand for elections.
Political parties should seek alternative funding and stop being a leech on elected officials.
parties all over the world seek contributions from party members.
are politicians not party members again?
abeg they should implement budget so that contractors(politicians )can make contributions.
we must not lose ondo and Edo elections.

Instead of waiting for government funding, they should seek public funding. It only makes sense.

Government has no business funding any party anywhere.
una think say na Yankee una de.
Abi na from 18000 ppl go sponsor party.
we have top down approach in naija.
naija is govt. govt is naija. we all depend on govt except for farmers. so yes govt is the only source of funding.

That's why I said members should be made to pay some dues. My post didn't not exclude politicians since they are members too.

As regards the elections coming up in Edo and Ondo states, I don't want to sound presumptuous, but the odds are staked in PDP's favour.

members about afford ever that will have impact. politicians have cornered all the money.

well me I'm a Buhari fan so don't really care if pdp win so long as competition Forces both rarities to spend higher percentage of their loot on reelection. just hope fashola no fall hand.

members cannot afford the billions shared in Nigerian politics.
politicians have cornered all the wealth.
I support Buhari.
don't care about apc or pdp. I carry both cards.
my own is competition should force both to either work for votes or vomit higher percentage of loot during election period. bags of rice instead of cups. make it too expensive to bribe voters so they fix economy by empowering voters with black elephant projects
