President Muhammadu Buhari will take 10 days off and travel to London on Monday June 6th, to rest, the Presidency has said.

In a brief statement signed by Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, during the holiday, he will see an E.N.T. specialist for a persistent ear infection.

The President was examined by his Personal Physician and an E.N.T Specialist in Abuja and was treated.

Both Nigerian doctors recommended further evaluation purely as a precaution.

10 days off to rest or for treatment? So all the millions spent in maintaining the Aso hospital is for nothing. tell us you are going for treatment abroad we will not crucify you. but if u guys won't get treated at that expensively maintained Aso hospital, close it down and save our money.

wish u quick recovery though.

Old age is gradually catching up on our Presido. The way I see it, governance is not really meant for old people but these old men just don't want to quit being relevant.
I wish him a quick recovery.

This is the first official statement made about it. And it's just an ear infection nothing serious really.

If the President of a country is having hearing difficulties, how does he listen and solve the socio-economic problems of the country?

That was for those who were prematurely planning his obituary, he's not going to die from an ear infection. He'll be alright.
Thanks for your well wishes.

Just out of curiosity-
What will it take for buhari's supporters to query him?
We're all humans. We make mistakes. But travelling to london to 'rest' or to get a THIRD medical opinion?
When tens of thousands of federal staff are owed salaries?
All that forex down the drain?
And didn't he ban medical tourism for non-emergency cases?
As a people, we REALLY need our heads examined.
