Buhari’s Plans For Niger Delta, Militants — Osinbajo by Nobody: 9:59pm On Jun 06, 2016
The Vice President explained that the federal government is engaging leaders and people of the Niger Delta regarding the spate of attacks on oil installations in the area, an act he stated amounts to economic sabotage. But besides reaching out to the people in the area, government is also beefing up security he assured.

According to him, the focus of the Buhari presidency "is to ensure that the man on the street in the Niger Delta receives the benefit from all that is available there," while calling on the leaders in the region to be accountable to the people.

Prof. Osinbajo added that government is working round the clock to minimize the losses arising from the attacks, adding that "we are talking, we are ensuring that we minimize losses and we are stepping up security. We are also engaging the international oil companies, IOCs, to see what options exists."

On economic issues, the Vice President restated government's commitment to drive its diversification policy and encouraged investors from European countries to take advantage of the situation especially in the agro-allied/processing industry.

U know the meaning of foresight?
Because we depend on oil, doesn't mean we can't try other things. Do you think of Nigeria without oil? When will change come if not today? We need to think of Nigeria without oil. We are talking of the future.

Because Oyibo Sabi spoil thing before dey fix am.

Example..
You come with 1 good ear and 1 bad, for treatment.. They go begin experiment with the good one first...(so ur chances of not communicating with sign na 50 - 50)

But I pray it will never be our portion in this nation..

But if the case turned out to be so, I still trust one ministry/minister, because he will say Sign language has generated 200000 jobs.

what do you mean by its not done anywhere in the world? There are many oil producing countries doing well on many other economic items, USA, UAE, India etc

Too late, just implement resource control to enable Niger Delta states develop better infrastructure and public goods.

Nigeria as a country is dead, I don't think there is anything that can be done to salvage Nigeria.

Just grant them resource control so thatthey can enjoy what is left of their god given resource

You are uninformed,UAE economy is 90% depends on oil,USA and indian oil can not satisfy 30% of their population let alone exporting it
Economy diversification is simply impossible when oil is still flowing
Oil money is just like plugging money from trees

and after all the bombing and the rest of it..... it's still the youths of d Niger delta that will suffer more!!! if I'm lying... let the Internally displaced persons across d country be interviewed.... it's just quite unfortunate that the youths has been brainwashed as usual!!! even if d economy will b diversified, I believe it's a gradual process. this militants are just heating up the polity unnecessarily.
