BOLAUWA:
Another perspective, and questions for niger deltans. For the records, am a full-fledged niger deltan from warri north lga. As its commonplace currently, we make haste to blame the federal government for the under development in our region. To be honest, thats true, but not entirely. To a small extent, the federal govt has been fair to our plight. Consider this : how much has been the contribution of NDDC and d ministry of niger delta affairs (MNDA)? What can we show for the 13% derivation given to our region? Which senatorial constituency projects can u point to in ur area?In delta state, we have DESOPADEC, how much have they affected the lives of the common man in terms of infrastructural devt? The govt put these measures in place so that the region cud benefit, but the greedy,,so - called leaders of the niger delta have squandered the common wealth of the region, and then provide arms for the misguided youths to keep disturbing the govt so the can keep enriching their pockets. Charity they say , begins at home. Lets hold our leaders to their throats, and make sure they carry out the projects allocated to the region, bfor we go all out to fight the govt.
Especially our useless governors in delta and bayelsa state.. .We need to hold them accountable. ..We also need to vote out Pdp from delta state to deliver us from the hand of ibori

He's not my boss,he's our President. His actions don't always end up yielding negative results. We can see some positives from the recovered monies, partial withdrawal of troops, implementation of UNEP report on Ogoniland etc. Don't be such a pessimist sulking over an over 12month old election results.
hehehehe!

Quit fooling yourself.

Positives where exactly? Recovered monies that have had no impact on the economy? Or withdrawal of troops after gross violation of human rights and terrorising innocent villagers? Aggravating the NDA even more instead of curbing the blowing up of pipelines? Or is it their political clean up of a land that we know is just a ruse to make us think they actually care for the place, but we know their aim is to score some cheap points that fools no one. A project that they will abandon very soon after all the drama and publicity show. I laugh,no be Nigerian politics?

We are not zombies, we are not fooled, unless they are ready to do the needful, they will only be deceiving people like you.

And you have proof to these claims? Thought anti-nigerians said the army cannot step the creeks blablabla. Now they entered and you're crying harassment in your room in Lagos? What should a sane government do to criminals and terrorists?
I have stayed my whole life in Niger Delta. I have witnessed Various conflicts that warranted the Military to Step in. Boy, anytime they come you are usually harassed. It seems you are in a war Zone and at that, many funny things happen. At a time from my house during one of those times i could here the screaming of a girl as she was being raped by a soldier cos she was not home before the curfew. i know this act is not restricted to Niger Delta. Generally, i can't give an excellent score to our armed men. i am not presently in the affected area, but i know what Nigerian Soldiers can do.

Seems like the only way forward right now. But its kinda funny how a militant group held a whole government hostage. Its not good at all! What a country!! SMH
We told you but you guys were shouting a new sheriff in town. Where is the new sherif now? Do you know the numbers of soldiers that died in the sea? What about those who died in the house boat that was destroyed my militants? And how many militants were killed? I can tell you, zero. Use of force can't solve this problem ,only truth can.

So it's true that the renewed militancy in the south south is all about halting the fight against corruption and not actually because of any good intentions for the people. MASSOB, IPOB, BIM and all other Biafra state agitators are now on their own once again. Until you learn or decide to use force to pursue your dream of getting an independent state, your dream will only remain what it is: A Dream!

Na lie.
Goodluck as VP paddled himself into the creeks and sat down with Tompolo and Ateke and all the rest of them and secured the amnesty. Tell Osinbajo to go and negotiate with BH at Sambisa grin
Lol he satisfied their selfish demands and later became the greatest ineffectual buffoon president of all time.

The military is not out, they're still there in the waterways. Here's a sensitive issue and listening government. People like you were saying military cannot go there etc. They went and people started lamenting, FG ordered 2week cease fire. What sane government will not send its military after criminals and terrorists?
What effect has the military presence created? Did it stop boys from destroying the pipelines? Was any militant killed? How many soldiers lost thier lives in the sea? Our soldiers are spineless. Only good at harassing unarmed civilians. When it comes to beating up innocent unarmed civilians, they won't complain of inadequate weapons. Mtcheeeew

Hmmm how is this news a good news.
Another group will rise up against government again.
But Buhari and his cohorts in the North will never agree to that.

My thoughts exactly, i wonder if our military can still defend the country if we come under attack. No wonder the fight against bokoharam is still going on, our military at the moment is not so strong after all.

It was Yar'dua who reached agreement with militants and they drastically reduced their criminal activities..
GMB came on board in his boisterous and bragadocious manner stopped negotiation with those ND guys.. As military general, he should have known they art of negotiation to keep your enemies in check..
This sort of experimental leadership has to stop!!
We have lost many lives, $$bn and properties because of this knee-jerk policy..

Buhari is so clueless, coñfused and incompetent to a level that makes me wonder if the presidency is vacant!

Most of his dumb decisions have been abysmal failures! The country gets worse everyday!

Buhari may the last president from the north. Northerners have destroyed this country!

Military work is not magic or miracle. It takes TIME, investigation and intelligence. Victory may not be achieved in a day or two. military presence would ultimately lead to arrests, prosecution and punishment of criminals sabotaging the economy and put a stop to their menace.

Good to hear from someone who knows and has experience. You are making my point clear. Some fellows think and say from the comfort of their rooms in Ibadan that the military is afraid to go to the Niger Delta, that they will be finished mercilessly. It is the other way round. Yes, our powerful people(not just military) need to respect human rights and dignity. i agreee with that. Our big men, bosses, police, military, ogas harass people wickedly when they can get away with it, we as a whole need to work on that.

What is your solution or suggestion to the issue of the Niger Delta Avengers, what should be done to/for them? Let me not assume for you, let's hear from you directly.
Recovered monies cannot be used yet as some cases are still in court, and there is a different plan and account for the monies. The budget was just signed and the monies were not part of IGR, it is for later use. Where is the GROSS violation of human rights and terrorising? Troops should not be withdrawn, you suggest? Cleaning up of Ogoniland is not cheap, neither does it score cheap points. It is a needed reality that the whole world knows and educated research accept that is the necessary and responsible thing to do. the United Nations and Shell are in the same agreement, stop living in a non existent bubble. What is the needful?

It took you ages to come up with this and you still don't get the fundamentals or you refuse to.
The needful is simple, restructure Nigeria now or continue to live in denial, eye service, et al.

You ask me this
Where is the GROSS violation of human rights and terrorising? Troops should not be withdrawn, you suggest?
And same you knows this

I SMH for you because as I said earlier, you know the truth, you know what needs to be done, you are not blind to what's happening and what's been happening all these years but you people just like to lie to yourselves and try to lie to others as well.

I will not banter words ever with you again because you are signed, sealed and certified Zombie, no offence, just as I do not take offence at being branded a lopsided wailer.

This is big and needless grammar, what does it mean to restructure Nigeria. Anybody can claim to be restructuring Nigeria in his own way. The APC change agenda is in itself a restructuring in its own right. So you have not said anything when you say restructure Nigeria. It took me ages to reply because i do not live on NL, sometimes i have a lot of time, sometimes i do not. You've been here longer than this.

You ask me this

And same you knows this
Where is the GROSS violation of human rights and terrorising? Is your accusation based on my assumption, or on presumption only?

I SMH for you because as I said earlier, you know the truth, you know what needs to be done, you are not blind to what's happening and what's been happening all these years but you people just like to lie to yourselves and try to lie to others as well.
What needs to be done is for you and others to give the government a chance instead of this eternal sulking and needless often baseless criticism. Everyone knew things would be a little hard economically. The IMF informed NOIweala since 2011 on the projections, just like Pharaoh told Joseph. But our Joseph coordinating minister simply fulfilled the famine, and left with headache and high blood pressure, borrowing to pay salaries and lacking political will to help the country, except for paper economic indices where we tweeked some data to get okay figures. Real economies are not built on paper, that is why less than months after, the whole thing indeed collapsed as forecasted. It was already collapsing and NOI warned about it, so we cannot blame the current FG only, as they have very little blame. What needs to be done is to arrest and prosecute Niger Delta criminals sabotaging the economy and the integrity of Nigeria's unity, instead of hoelessly watching like GEJ did boko haram, hoping it will be wished away, or going to Jerusalem to pray.

I will not banter words ever with you again because you are signed, sealed and certified Zombie, no offence, just as I do not take offence at being branded a lopsided wailer.
i signed nothing, if the government does not do well, i will say it when needed.
