Opinion

When light up Lagos project was announced by Gov Ambode of Lagos State, it was wellcome innitiative by residence of Lagos.
Its so unfortunate that the way and manner in which some of the projects were executed possesses environmental hazard, especially those that were erected on Lagos Abeokuta express way.

The polls were badly erected, electrical cables were not well buried on the ground, some of the cable were passed through drainages ETC.

Its less than 2 months this project was commissioned and it has never work for good one week, its always on and off.

One just wonder why government does not inspect project given to contractors before rushing to commission it.

I do not expect Lagos of today to spend millions of naira on such project without proper supervision.

Attached are some visual evidences to support this claims.

Good one op. I share the same concern when this project was commissioned. Along Abule-Agba to Toll gate, some of the light never work.

There should be a kind of follow up by the LASG on this project to avoid it be resulting to a waste of public funds as street or highways lights Have always be.

This can also become an avenue to create jobs for the people by creating a platform to monitor and report any faulty lights for immediate repair.
