All my lovely and wonderfully made sisters/mothers-to-be.
please what is the difference between TVS and Abdominal Pelvic scan.
I did pelvic scan but they did not tell me anything about my ovaries and seeing this below mail, am kind of confused.
TVS is Trans Vaginal Scan meaning a scan done through the veejay. For this procedure, a long plastic object is inserted into the veejay and it does the scan which makes things inside the Uterus more clearer than the Pelvic Scan

Abdominal Pelvic Scan - Is scan done from the top of the abdomen.

As for not mentioning anything about your Ovaries, am not surprised. Some Labs will actually not do this during an Abdominal Pelvic Scan except you request for it and when you do, they'll tell you to pay for Folliculometry (Scan dedicated to checking Follicle Size) so that they can check your ovaries and also tell you the size of the Follicles. I experienced this with a Lab. Since then, if I go for a scan, I make sure that I ask what the scan will cover before I proceed.

I don't know how true this is, but I got it from mamalette on Facebook.

Zobo is not recommended for pregnant women in their first trimester or those who are undergoing fertility treatments. This is because it can lower levels of oestrogen in the body and can prompt menstruation which could ultimately lead to a miscarriage. Those in their first trimester especially should avoid drinking this drink... Read more at http:///052V48

@fruitfulhome it might be very true. When I had a mc I remember that I had a lot of cold zobo due to the hot weather. Infact the day before the mc I drank 3 bottles of 60cl. So it's possible.

Someone sent this to me....so,so,true....

WHAT Manner of man is this JESUS?

I WENT FOR SHOPPING TO GET JESUS A PRESENT AND THIS WAS WHAT I HAD TO GO THROUGH.

I WANTED TO BUY HIM A SHOE BUT WHAT KIND OF SHOE CAN YOU BUY FOR A MAN THAT THE EARTH IS HIS FOOT STOOL?

I CONSIDERED GETTING HIM A THREE PIECE SUIT BUT WHAT Kind Of suit will i give a man THAT HIS CLOTHING FILLED THE TEMPLE?

I THOUGHT OF BUYING HIM DINNER BUT THIS MAN FED 5000 with 2 fishes and 5 loaves of bread.
I SAID MAYBE I SHOULD BAKE HIM A CAKE BUT HE SENT MANNA FROM ABOVE.

I SETTLED TO PLAY HIM AN ORCHESTRA BUT WHAT kind of music Can be compared To the
host of Angels that continually sing His praise?

I WANTED TO GIVE HIM A TELEPHONE BUT WHICH NETWORK WILL YOU GIVE A MAN THAT IS EVERYWHERE AT THE same time?

I THOUGHT of getting him a ticket to ascend but He just went up like that not needing an AEROPLANE.

I RESOLVED FOR THE BEST WINE BUT QUICKLY remembered He turned water into Wine.

OKAY BINOCULARS OR CAMERA BUT HE SEES EVEN THE INNER heart of a man with His bare eyes.

I WANTED TO GIVE HIM MONEY BUT SILVER AND GOLD BELONGS TO HIM.

I COULD GET HIM A DESIGNERS PERFUME BUT A MUCH COSTLY ONE WAS USED FOR HIS FEET.

WHAT MANNER OF MAN IS THIS?
THE BLESSING OF ABRAHAM,
THE SACRIFICE OF ABEL,
THE SONG OF DAVID,
THE MIRACLE OF ELISHA,
THE WISDOM OF SOLOMON,
THE STRENGTH OF JOSHUA,
THE ROD OF MOSES,
THE ARK OF NOAH,
THE FIRE OF ELIJAH,
THE STONE OF DAVID THE ALTAR OF GIDEON,
THE DREAM OF
JOSEPH.

WHAT MANNER OF MAN IS THIS?
IN MY CONFUSED STATE I HEARD A VOICE SAYING Give Him QUALITY THANKS AND PRAISE.
This is the only thing you can offer the King of kings. The Lord of lords, the rose of sharon, the lily of the valley, the El shaddai, the prince of peace, the lion of the tribe judah, the almighty one, the immortal, the invisible, the only wise. The one that reign and rules in the affair of men. The one that sits on the circle of the earth and all the inhabitant look like grasshopper. The one that there is no searching of His understanding. The I AM THAT I AM. Let quality praises flow from your heart to Him today.
Have a great and fulfilled day

i think you are correct sis.Even in the preggy thread, most women are advised not to take it in their first trimester and then women in their third trimester appproaching delivery are encouraged to take it albeit,in small quantity because most times pineapple is used as the sweetner and it prompts contraction. But then, some women say they take it throughout their pregnancy and nothing happens. So,maybe its different strokes for different folks.

You're very right. Soon, Pineapple and Mangoes are some of the things that causes contraction and women are to avoid after Ovulation and in the first trimester because they can disturb implantation and also cause miscarriage. Although women have different body systems so you have some women who take these things in the first trimester and nothing happens to their pregnancy. Some Mamas use it to induce labour while some others take it to induce labour and nothing happens. My approach is to err on the side of caution because you actually might not know how your body will react and it just might be negative.

I've had experience with zobo. After I felt I was pregnant plus Af didn't show almost a week after its scheduled date, While I was planning to do a blood test I took zobo & the force with which Af rushed out scared me. And Pineapple surprised me 2months ago when I took it on cd24 & the next day Af showed up looking so bright red & smooth, something I've been trying to achieve for many years cos I've always had Very dark Af full of clots. Research I did later confirmed that its great for proper blood circulation, can prompt Af & good for digestion. Truly knowledge is power. People make lots of mistake in life cos of lack of knowledge. Now I don't know how to keep the benefit of bright red Af/proper blood circulation in pineapple while avoiding its side effect of possible miscarriage

Goodday my dear Esisters, Mum and Aunties in the house i wanna announce to the house that i gat my BFP finally with confirmation from my doctor today ooooo......
My story goes like this i do normally have a regular 26 days period and was also using Nature made Follic acid & VitE but nothing forth coming and later switched to Pregnacare but all had negative. Actually i moved in finally with my hubby last yr DEC cos he doesn't stay in Nigeria and have also been shuttling naija-Europe since 2014. So have been worried since i moved in with my hubby DEC 2015 as belle no enter which made me post a comment in march for help and @mumihaja advised i should go do follicle tracking which i didn't bother myself doing so i decided to call our family doctor in naija who has ma medical history and he sent some drugs inn April(CLOMID to be used 5 days during my period in April & BROMOCRIPTINE should be used once daily continuously)
After using the drugs in April i didn't get a positive results so i decide to see a doctor here and had an appointment with the doctor May 3rd which was same day i saw my period so the doctor couldn't run a check on me so he asked me to go a blood test and also said i should stop all drugs given to me from Nigeria immediately in which i stopped. One week after my period i went to do the blood test and went back to the doctor May 19th for another appointment as scheduled so on getting to the doctors office my bloodtest result has already been submitted to the doctor from the LAB which shows i have HIGH PROLACTIN and also doctor did a vaginal scan for me to see if am ok which all about me was ok except for the high prolactin result. So the doctor gave me a drug named DOSTINEX that i should be using half of the drug every week and i should also go and do a brain scan Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to see if the High Prolactin hasn't affected my brain.
So i started with the DOSTINEX drug on the 19th May with half tablet, took another half tablet on 26th May and then called where i was suppose to do my brain scan for appointment on when to come for the scan, when i called the place they asked if i was pregnant and i said No so the lady said fine i can come for the scan but unfortunately there's no space late MAY,JUNE and JULY so she booked me for 1st AUGUST.
Lastly i was meant to see my next period for may29th but nothing came and wasn't bothered cos i felt it was change, Monday 30th came which was my 1 year wedding anniversary i didn't see my period it was at this time i became worried and told my hubby my period isnt showing up and his response was like i shouldn't disturb myself God knows so i kept calm but still thinking.....
when my hubby left for work in the morning my mind wasn't at rest so i decided to take a home test with clear blue advance monitor and a cheapy pregnancy test and i saw TWO RED LINES ON THE CHEAPY & Clear blue shows PREGNANT on 1st June my dear sisters i couldn't believe my eyes and had to do another test on 2nd June again and was POSITIVE.
To God be the glory i went to the doctor today to tell i him and he couldn't believe as well to see that am truly pregnant when he did another vaginal scan for me today....
I just wanna say a big thank you to this wonderful forum we all shall testify the Lords goodness.....
Abeg make una no vex say my story long ooooo i just have to share
congratulation sis, I'm so happy for u..God gave u wedding anniversary Gift. I claim this kind of miracle too.

Abeg I get kweshion for my yoruba sisters. Is calling ur younger yoruba sisters-in-law for example 'Sister Kemi' inadequate and disrespectful? (they are good ladies and hv not given me any trouble).
My sweet Mother inlaw, (who has been so supportive in this our ttc journey), just said I should be calling them for e.g 'Aunty Dami ...' so as to show them respect as my Dh's sisters. I said ok ma. Kosi wahala ma.
I find it a bit akward... Maybe she didnt know I usually add 'sister' to the older one's name but call the last born by her name. (both are younger than me). Or is it that 'sis' is not enough... Enlighten me abeg... (I dont disrespect them n they dont disrespect me either... both call me sister 'Loisemm' sef all the time)
I am igbo & DH is ijaw. He has 2 older sisters and I use the prefix auntie..... when I address them, I see it as a mark of respect irrespective of the tribe. But dh's younger sis addresses me as auntie....... cos she's younger than DH and we are abt same age though DH doesn't like it(I guess cos it sounds awkward). Bt with yorubas I think they pay particular attention to such, it seems awkward bt for peace of mind Abeg jeje do it. Kini big deal, u are blessed & lucky ur mil gbaduns u ,some mil will use it to castigate u behind and paint u as disrespectful.
