The amount per person was made known long ago. MTN was the only company in operation in Nigeria that refused to cut the services to such a large number of users, that is the reason for the fine.

It has nothing to do with hatred for South Africa.

They knew the rules long in advance - everyone else complied.

I'm not expecting anything. I don't look to government for anything.

It's more about hurting MTN than anything at this - punitive damages, so to speak.

They broke the law, now they can pay the fine.

Am thinking of porting out of this mtn soon, what hasn't happened to me before, they then took my N300 for a week now without refund with bad network everywhere, making business calls awful. I never port before but imma try that soon. Saka sef go probably soon port too.
