You should still continue to study sir. UI just started writing putme nt long ago(2011 to b specific). The previous method used in admitting students was "Oral interview", where u ll b asked few questions from ur subject combination. They might end up going back to that method if they choose to scrap pume. U can google "Ui pume 2007 or 2006"... They can throw any question at u frm any angle, they expect u to tackle it bodly. .... I would advise u to continue reading sir
okay, thanks tommybob.

emmanuel worthwhile since postutme has been scrapped, my fears are that UI might simply go back to her previous mode of admission which was admitting candidates through Waec/Neco aggregate and it certainly won't spell good things for me cos my O level is just C6 parallel which is too low.
What do you think?

All these are just assumptions and no one knows what method UI is going to adopt or even if UI is going to discard the JAMB proposed "no post utme" rubbish. Y'all should just wait till school resumes, because only by then we would get information on what method they're planning on using that is if there's not going to be post-utme.
But if UI were to go back to their long time method of inviting only those with higher grades in their O'level, and higher marks in their utme for oral screening, lotta aspirants will be at disadvantage. Even yours truly wouldn't have gotten admitted into this prestigious citadel of learning..
Just hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

UI Might Just Use Normal Interview Method And JAMB Result, Study Hard For The Interview, Though No Update Yet, I Wish You Best Of Luck.

If you are an MBBS aspirant, a whatsapp study group has been created to
1. Help us share ideas that would be beneficial to our securing admission
2. Keep each and everyone motivated to study....Your mates share what they have learnt and you get up to study too.
3. Challenge our knowledge and readiness for the upcoming exam.....Time-based tests would be organized
4. Help us recognize salient points we may have overlooked during studies
5. Help us know one another....Aren't we going to be coursemates in the near future?

If UI agrees to scrap pume,I fear that is exactly what they would do.I even read it on a Ui whatsapp group, with scary cutoff marks.I'm having exactly the same problem,my aggregate for my course would be 44 .I think the best thing to do, if the above takes place,is pressuring JAMB to re open the change of course form. That way we would either be able to change to choose courses, whose waec requirements,we have strong grades at,or in your case, change to an institution that wouldn't require strong waec grades.Send mails, calls etc to Jamb.I'm thinking of penning an open letter on NL,if lalasticlala takes it to front page, other blogs might pick it up and spread the word.I believe since the FG didn't inform us about this policy before we took JAMB,they should at least allow us make adjustments that would favour our intrests.

Pls does anyone have the phone number of the ui admission officer.

this policy should always be taken before one registers for jamb and not adopt one useless policy which would affect us later.
Pls can you kindly post some of the scary cut off marks that you saw on the whatsapp group?
Anywhere just hope on real postutme informations from ui starting from july.

Post jamb/10 + addition of All your 5 o'lvl result... Using the
A1 - 6
B2 - 5
B3 - 4
C4 - 3
C5 - 2
C6 - 1

DIVIDE YOU UTME SCORE BY 10
AND add it up to the sum total of your 5 o'level subject

Make sure you multiply your o'level sum total by 2 before adding to the Jamb score
