Reduction in sales will result to disengagement of petrol attendants maybe folding up of some petrol stations.

In my house we now use 600 naira petrol for 3 nights (7:30pm-past 9) or anytime the fuel finishes. People hardly drive around unnecessarily $ I have stopped going out except it's "very important". Also, those that use gen in my area like it's Nepa light have stopped.
Maybe you use "I better pass my neighbour ". My gen will hardly use 1,500 fuel for 2 nights (8-10) undecided

It ain't smuggling that caused the low sales, when I go to work everyday whilst passing Ikeja I discovered that traffic jams are rare and the only traffic this days is either caused by traffic light or accidents.
Cars are fewer.
shocked which route do you take? Traffic still dey plenty o.

Akinfemiwa revealed that though Nigeria is a driving country with a lot of dependence on petrol for both passenger and commercial vehicles, there are strong indications that motorists have devised various means of using less petrol in view of the high cost.
1. We no de travel anyhow again,
2. We de go see bae once in a week
3. We no de use Gen over night again
4. We comfortably drive our cars without Ac
5. Comercial transport is still afforbable
6. Only few fill their tanks to the brim. Na 10 liters sure pass

It is the economic situation of the country period.

PMB and his team Nigerians are suffering ,which average Nigerian can travel abroad for heart related illness not to talk of ear problem that ear drop or hearing aid will solve .

Of course. The volumes being smuggled out of the country have drastically reduced because the incentive has been removed.

Re: MOMAN: Petrol Sales Drop 40% Since Price Adjustment To N145 by blackpanda: 3:00pm On Jun 11, 2016
Why are they complaining. The day price of fuel was increased, all the petrol stations rushed to increase the pump. Even those that were still selling old stock. So dont complain when nigerians cant afford ur fuel. Is better u start drinking it or use it to make soup! grin

Re: MOMAN: Petrol Sales Drop 40% Since Price Adjustment To N145 by emmanok24(m): 3:07pm On Jun 11, 2016
I can't remember the last time I bought more than 10 litres of fuel for my car. And for generator na 3 litre for 2 days (7-10)

I think everyone have realised that we can actually survive by rationing the little we've got.

God help Nigeria!

Pax!

Project400:
.

I do not think the new transition is worth celebrating. Reduction in PMS sales is not good for anyone. It is bad market to the CEO of gas stations, to the people, and to the government.
It is bad market for petrol dealers but good market for the transporters. It is also good for car owners because you now plan your movement and save more that you would ve spent for fuel. It has reduced traffic congestion on our roads thereby reducing movement time. It is gradually inculcating the culture of prudent spending among Nigerians.

Since I bought a 500 watts inverter and 200AH battery in May, I use 10 litres of fuel per week, previously I was using 4 litres of fuel per day (which is equal to 28 litres of fuel per week)!

PS: I am off the national grid. EKEDC (NEPA) cut my light in September 2015.

Some of us also bought inverter and battery that generator charge so we don't use fuel all the time.

Let the CHANGE people keep scamming Nigerians, one thing I just hate about we Nigerians is that we adapt quickly to situations like this, which is a bad thing.

It depends on what you are powering with your Gen. An original Yamaha 950 sold by John Holt should last about 9 hours full tank which is just 4 litres of fuel.

That is better

Instead of them claiming they paid billions of subsidy on Petrol nobody bought.

The right thing is to adjust when the economy calls for it is to sacrifice for the future.

I hope our useless leaders sacrifice too.
I like you my guy
