After slipping to third place in recent weeks on the standing, Airtel is now claiming a very strong point for top spot. After Glo broke the internet with the brand new data plans a couple of weeks ago, Airtel have introduced two new affordable data plans.

2GB for N200 - 14days
6GB for N500 - 28days

Before you jump up, tear your clothe, scream and buy that N200 recharge card, the data plan only works on 2G network.
The plan works on all devices.

Can Airtel be trusted? Will it zap data? How long will it last?.....

It's for 2G devices. It won't work on devices with 3G. I subscribed for it and I could nt browse until I called their customer service unit. I was informed that it's meant to work on 2G devices.

It should work if you step down your network to 2G

Crazy Airtel. How the hell are we going to exhaust 2GB browsing at 11-20kb/s all day? Nobody got time for that sh!t anymore.

It's more or less like a scam. The network is extremely slow. So how or earth one is going to consume a data that can't be accessed.
