If this story is trueeeeee then good cos public service is about serving and not amassing wealth. Come on N20 million per person for housing allowance haba when pple can barely feed and thousands are unemployed, how much is a 1/2 bed flat in Abuja, definitely not N20 million everywhere.

No wonder we are in this financial mess, too much wastage by past govts not just Jonathan's Govt. Let them know that it is no longer business as usual. No more humongous allowances and benefits, if they don't like the way things are they should quit.

Mr President 1.5 million per annum will do just fine for them . The excess on top should go towards the Health care sector

There is nothing nice about it. A worker deserves his pay. If allowance is legal, let him give them what he thinks is appropriate. Whether 1m or 5m. If nothing for them he should say so. But he should be prompt.

This kind of dithering about everything is bad. It can actually encourage some to be corrupt.

The government should stop crying unnecessary wolf.
Reduction in production is almost equally supplementation by higher price. ie prod target was 2.2mln barrels and we are now doing about 1.6mln = 38% drop.
Price target was $38, now $50 =32% increase. So ideally, the situation should not be as bad as they are making it sound.

On the other hand we really need to spend less time talking about federal and focus on state, especially the ND states.
FG budget is 6tr with a population of 180mln = per capita budget of N33k

Akwa ibom with budget of N400b and population of 5mln = per capita budget of N80k
Rivers state with budget of 307b and population of about 8.5mln = per capita budget of N36k.

So while we should rightly for us on federal we should pay a lot more attention to what Governors are doing with their money. Like I always say Nigeria will develop faster with 36 excellent Governors as opposed to 1 excellent president.

I though, the previous petroleum minister has returned 'usd90b to the FG.

Isn't their anthem " It has to get worse before it gets better"? This is a taste of it. they should brace up. It will still get worse for them.

This government is lazy economically, their idea of governing is to meet huge fund & disburse it to capital projects, they don't have a clue on how to generate funds.

A financially lazy government will make everything look like end of the world. They should get people who can turn things around & stop wasting our time.
