Most times i read comments/articles from westerners describing the Russian military as inefficient, archaic...... I just laugh. "Is it this same Russian military the world is seeing in Syria or am i looking at a different military?".



The Russians are so efficient, and the speed with which they've routed the enemy(s) is unprecedented.

When America invaded Kuwait and Southern Iraq, they killed 35,000 Iraqis and wounded another 60,000 in so doing they smashed over 30 Iraqi divisions... for the loss of 200 men. They destroyed 4000 (98% of) Iraqi tanks for the loss of 4, 2000 artillery peices for the loss of 1, 1800 APC's for the loss of 9, 240 aircraft for the loss of 44.

No one else on earth can do that.

With regards to the NATO bombing campaign, they are only half halfheartedly bombing - just compare the number of sorties.

Not wanting to kill civilians is how civilized people fight. Dropping White Phosphorus on a city is inefficient and archaic by definition.

Its just the way the Russians fight.

It works for them, no one can deny Russian firepower - just look at the ammount of MRLS and artillery attached to a division in comparison to a NATO one.

But in terms of precision and efficiency, as well as safety and minimization of collateral damage, no one comes close to the major NATO members.

We are only seeing only a handful of Russian air power, an aircraft here another aircraft there, no ground forces. while the U.S alone has over 160 aircrafts stationed on 2 Aircraft carriers, and bombing flights been carried out from bases in Kuwait, Iraq and Jordan.


No country on the planet, not even the Americans can achieve the successes carried out by a handful(60) Russian aircrafts in Syria. It is unprecedented in human history. Nothing new to the Russians seeing that they have lost only 3 battles in over 1000 years of combat.

Russia lost 3 battles in a 1000 years? Dude, since the 1850s Russia has lost:

-Crimean War
-Russo-Japanese

And lets not forget they lost WW1 as well
