2 pages of senseless comments. These boys so far have proved to be different from the other selfish groups that have got themselves entangled with corrupt politicians traditional rulers and the corrupt employees of the IOCs. The fact that they requests for independent mediators lends credence to their integrity, if they were after money they wouldn't have had any need to cause this much destruction. All the same I am interested in seeing how this new bit of information reshapes the geopolitical scene in the coming days. PS: government should approach this with all genuineness of purpose, these boys demands can relatively easily be negotiated with a beneficial outcome for all parties. Long live a restructured Nigeria, Long Live all regions of a restructured Nigeria. |

origima: ![]() I believe they should have bombed that Niger bridge. Bomb Aba, Nnewi and Onitsha main market and then proceed to bomb all the power generating stations, filling station, Banks and Telecom mask. These would send a message to Buhari |

They said: There are no new conditions: They NEVER wanted the corruption charges of any politician to be dropped. They have very genuine reasons. They sound patriotic and they seem to be asking for fair play. Diluting these demands with propaganda may yield short term results. But the problem will persist. They are voicing the feelings of most Niger Deltans. Conditions: 1. The immediate implementation of the report of the 2014 National Conference report, failure of Nigeria will forcefully break-up. 2. President Buhari, the director-general of the State Secret Service and the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in Bayelsa state, Timipre Sylva should apologize to the people of the Niger Delta region and family of Late Chief DSP Alamieyesegha for killing him with intimidation and harassment because of his party affiliation. 3. The ownership of oil blocks in Nigeria must reflect 60% for the oil producing people and 40% for the non-oil producing people. 4. The only Nigerian Maritime University sited in the most appropriate and befitting place – Okerenkoko in Delta state, must start the 2015/2016 academic session immediately. 5. The minister of transportation, Rotimi Amechi should apologize to the Ijaws and the entire Niger Delta people for his careless and reckless statement about the citing of the University in Okerenko. 6. Ogoniland and and all oil polluted lands in the Niger Delta must be cleaned up, while compensation should be paid to all oil producing communities. 7. Radio Biafra director and Independent Peoples of Biafra leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, should be released unconditionally. 8. The Niger Delta Amnesty programme must be well funded and allowed to continue to run effectively. 9. All APC members indicted for corruption should be made to face trial like their counterparts in the Peoples Democratic Party. 10. All oil multi-nationals and foreign investors should observe this demands, as their business interest in the country will be first targeted. You can always check the link below for authenticity of NDA press release. This group has not shown any iota of political inclination or support for corrupt Niger delta politicians. http://www./?m=1 |

Ready4watever:And what did Ojukwu do in 1970? "On January 9 Maj. Timothy Onwuatuegwu escorted Ojuwku to the Uli airstrip where he boarded his private jet and fled to the Ivory Coast. Immediately after Ojukwu’s departure President Effiong called for a ceasefire to discuss the details of surrender. On January 12 Philip Effiong, Joseph Achuzie, Ogbugo Kalu, and other Biafran officers made their way to Amichi and later Owerri to broadcast their final surrender to Col. Obasanjo." http://encomium.ng/how-ojukwu-escaped-from-biafra-in-1970/ |

i guess the niger delta avengers are gradually coming to terms that people, especially from the niger delta are seening their struggle as selfish! How come the avengers are asking for the release of Nnamdi kanu? Is that a niger delta challenge or struggle? Now that they perceived they would lose because niger deltans now sees their true colour, they want to come to the table. Well, they are welcome. |
