Hello Everyone...I have a weird issue going on and would appreciate any help i get from this forum.
I came to the UK in 2011 and currently in the UK on a tier 4 student visa (3 years)which runs out in September. I would like to extend my stay in the UK by applying for a residence permit before my visa runs out. I'm really confused on how to go about this. I have a permanent resident card to live in Italy and have a partner who resides here with me in Bristol. We have been together for about 3 years.
I am confused as to what to apply for. Another visa or a resident card

Would definitely be voting to leave EU. Those people from other countries like Romania, Poland etc are the ones really sucking up all the benefits in the UK. Infact, cos the PM cannot send these nationals away due to EU laws, he is making life difficult for citizens of other countries who are not in EU.

For the selfish love I have for all my brothers from Africa, I vote for UK to leave EU.

Also, if UK should leave the EU, I am very sure that all international students will smile cos in 2,3 or 4 years time, post study will return.

Imagine been given extra 2 years to work after study like it was in time past? That is the way it is supposed to be after paying millions to study. Students should be allowed to gain work experience before going back to their countries.

@dynamitehinself, Claremont has done justice to all the questions you raised and I could not have said it better but I will add to the issue of PCC I raised in the other thread.

Please note that PCC is only valid for 3 months. If you will not be applying for the security license within 3 months of entering the UK, I will suggest you do not get it cos PCC will cost you nothing less than 10k in Naija.

Also please note that to get an SIA badge (security license in UK) is expensive. You will need to pay for training and exam and also the license itself. This will cost you nothing less than £400. This could be a huge amount for a student just entering the UK and with this forex wahala.

So if you know you cannot pay that amount within 3 months of entering UK, then do not get the PCC in Naija (so that you don't just waste the money in getting it and it expires).

Other jobs for students in UK that I know of do not require PCC.

Let me give you a hint, if you have the money, I will recommend you get the SIA badge. Trust me, security job is one of the best for students in UK. God bless you bro.

Also, once you enter UK, please try and join a church ASAP, you will need people who have been in that particular area long before you, they will tell you some secrets which many people will not tell you on a public forum. Thank God you can play church instruments. Infact, church can even give you a job on the side

I'm voting to remain.

I can't afford to allow wealth politicians to ruin my future free movement. Whatever happens to the economy if we vote to leave those politicians will be fine, they have houses and connections for next job.

Vote to leave will not solve immigration problem because a lot has entered a
Ready and they can't stop illegal immigrants

I'm abstaining on this vote. I can't seem to make up my mind whether to vote leave or remain, they both have advantages and disadvantages. I have been a life-long Labour party supporter, but on this occasion, I just don't trust what these political parties tell us. I was going to vote remain, but the mere fact that dodgy Dave is on the remain side has made me withhold my vote, I can't vote leave either because UKIP is championing the leave vote.

I wasn't going to vote at all before but the more I watch Nigel Farage going on about immigration with every opportunity given the more I want to vote to remain. Remember UKIP is all about ant-immigration and nothing else so voting to leave is a victory for UKIP.

I can't stand dodgy Dave but this goes beyond that now.

Is it postgraduate studies or undergraduate studies? Undergraduate is possible... I think Westminster Univeristy gives full scholarship albeit I think it is very limited (maybe 1 or 2 spaces) and here are some bodies that offer scholarships provided you can give a convincing personal statement in some cases.

For post graduate studies, it may also be possible or you may ge very very good discounts and scholarships depending on your results.

Let me also state here that you should also look at Canada cos UK schools are very stingy with scholarships and discounts. schools in Canada will give you more options. Cheers .

Suspiciously F1 has been removed from that website since this season started, i used to watch all my F1 races from there but that website no longer upload F1 link there.

I'm waiting for Canadian race to start very soon and use google to dig out any website live streaming it.

Channel 4 has taken over live streaming from BBC but they are not showing all races just a few but they will show highlights after the race.

I noticed that too on the site i use, even some footie match

seems the right holders are really going after these websites to grind out every penny for TV subscribers
about BBC offloading F1- one of the reason no one without a cognitive reason should pay for TV license grin I mean if they really want to save money they should scrap BBC4 and half of their radio stations altogether grin

OK, I will be more regular on this thread from now on as I aim to start another postgraduate programme in Uni in September. As the days, weeks, and months go by, I will try to unleash some useful resources on this thread as it pertains to a lot of things listed below;

1. How to watch ALL Sky and BT channels, ALL Directv/Xfinity/TWC American channels, all movies ever made and those just released, all TV shows ever made and those just released, ALL FOR FREE as long as you have a basic 5mbps internet speed and ideally no usage caps.

2. One guaranteed method for international students with valid visas to be a British citizen in less than 4 years, it could be as short as 1 year depending on how long you have lived in the UK prior to the application. It's a method that I and a few people have used to obtain our citizenship, but it's not for everybody I agree. I don't have a godfather or silver spoon; it's a method only for people who have a long-term plan to use it, get your British passport, and drop it. It's not illegal, and it doesn't involve marrying a big white whale on the pretence of using her for passport.

3. A few work-at-home jobs that international students can engage in that involves buying and selling, requires a basic bit of tech-savviness. All I will do is show you a few facebook groups and the basic outline, it's up to you to implement whatever tactics you want.

4. If you have access to large pool of funds, I will point out some areas in the UK where you can buy some cheap houses and give them out for rent on this thread. If you have just a little spare capital and interested in buying, renovating and renting out properties, I will talk you through the mortgage process on this thread. The rent from the property you buy is enough to pay the mortgage.

4. Everything will be done and spoken openly on this thread and will not respond to pms. I will only email the resources e.g. zip files, that I cannot physically upload on here.

5. I'm also open to questions about anything and everything, and I will try my best to answer them on this thread so everyone can benefit. It might take some time though as I'm involved in a few things on real-life and on other social networks, but it will get attended to eventually.

My first write-up coming up is reference my nos-1 statement on here i.e. getting live TV, movies, TV shows for free anywhere in the world as long as you got internet speed of at least 5mbps. This has nothing to do with using illegal chipped boxes, and for most people who have windows laptops, it requires no expense. This can be used on any TVs with hdmi but you will need to buy an equipment from Amazon, Tesco, Argos or Ebay that costs between £20-£35. This will save you from paying about £200 per month to Sky e.t.c.

I will be posting the details later today or tomorrow; but for those who can't wait, just do some research on ''Kodi''.

ALL Sky, BT, Xfinity, DirectV sports and movie channels for free.

Requirements: >5mbps internet, Windows pc or android device, Kodi media player

OK, before I go on, let me reiterate that streaming of copyrighted content is legal in the EU, what’s illegal is downloading and/or hosting copyrighted content. What we are about to do here is streaming.

1. Navigate to kodi.tv and install it on your device. If your use a windows PC, install the windows version directly on it; if you have a TV with hdmi, get an android box, tablet, or Amazon firestick and install Kodi on it. https://seo-michael.co.uk/tutorial-how-to-install-kodi-on-a-firestick/.

2. When you have installed Kodi on your device, install ‘’fusion’’. Guide is https://seo-michael.co.uk/how-to-install-fusion-for-xbmc/.

3. Now, you will need to install the addons/apps which carry the content. I’m a football/sports person, so I go for the sports addons first. You need just one for now. ‘’Castaway’’, get it from https://seo-michael.co.uk/tutorial-how-to-install-castaway-kodi/.

4. If you like movies and/or TV shows, you can get every movie known to man for free using just 2 addons interchangeably. I will name just one for now. ‘’Exodus’’. You will find content here that is not even available on any paid movie service like Netflix e.t.c. https://seo-michael.co.uk/how-to-install-exodus-for-kodi/.

5. The above addons will enable you watch sports, tv and movies on your laptop and/or android devices in good picture quality without the gritty images normally experienced from your normal streaming. There are so many other addons available for sports and movies, it’s impossible to list all of them here. Research on google for them.

P.S: There are people who do this for a business in UK. They buy about 100 android devices for £20 each, load free Kodi and free addons as above on it, and sell it for £100 each on Ebay/Amazon. It’s normally marketed as ‘’Fully loaded boxes, CANCEL YOUR SKY BILLS’’. Avoid them, you can do it yourself all for free.

@Olowo b thanks for the response bro. I can afford the security license but I just want to know the range of pay and what to expect for a start after spending over £400.if it's really worth it.
How long is the security license valid?

Movement of money has being a major problem. Plz how do i move cash or transfer without having to feel this forex problems so much from the secondary market.

Thanks.

A short video I made of Kodi in action. I'm using a 50'' smart TV with an Amazon firestick inserted into the TV hdmi, I'm navigating the menus with the firestick remote. It works for all TVs with hdmi.
