The Gov. Rauf Aregbesola of Osun on Tuesday said students who wore unauthorised cloths to any public schools in the State would be expelled henceforth.

Aregbesola stated this at the commissioning of St Micheal’s Government Middle School, Ibokun while reacting to different choir robes and garments wore to Baptist High School in Iwo by some Christian students.

He said it was wrong and criminal for a section or group of people to have directed some innocent students to wear choir robes to schools against court’s judgment.
He urged whoever was not satisfied with the judgment to ventilate the grievance through legitimate means rather than trying to cause crises by resorting to self help.
According to him,``Government is not interested in any religion as being speculated. My goal is to improve education standard in the state.’’

Deputy Governor Titilaoye Tomori, who doubles as the Commissioner for Education, said the inauguration of the school had confirmed their mission statement in education.
Tomori said no fewer than 20 elementary, 22 middle and 17 high schools had either been commissioned or were at final stages of commissioning.

State Chairman, Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Mr Felix Awofisayo urged people to pay tax so that government can do more.
Some students of Iwo Baptist High School wore church garments and robes to school on Tuesday in reaction to the court ruling allowing Muslim female students to wear veils (hijab) to schools.

Aregbesola is a confused man with mental disorder.

I hate religious extremism, merging Missions Schools (Schools founded by Missionaries) with Government secular school, including boys only and girls only together is a grave error, that will be corrected one day.

The Osun State CAN is not against wearing Hijab, but putting it on in Mission schools like Baptist High School Iwo, Salvation Army school and other mission schools this they frowned against.

Hence, their resolve to implement their own fundamental human right of wearing choir robs, sultanas of different colours, etc. if the government of Osun cannot adopt a particular pattern of dressing in a secular state. This is quite unfortunate. embarassed

Conflicting court verdict within the same country. undecided

If you can wear a hijab, then I should wear a church robe. There's no difference between the two, they are both religious outfits. Your hijab is not more important than my church robe

Was it 'hijab' that Awo's free Education was enshrined in and remembered for, back in time?

Sir, you are a beneficiary of that political endowment, from a Christian born old politician, who did not impose his faith on anyone. But sir, what legacy are you leaving behind now?

A man with the perfect model and such noble experience fails indeed if he can only disrupt a timeless model but cannot put a simple model in place. You have disrupted the simplest order of things.

Awo's political philosophy derived from Jesus' love for humanity, "life more abundant" (John10) and he practiced just that in action than on lips.

Think about this, Your Excellency.

Aregbe was wrong to have introduced religion into the secular system. Public schools were/are known for uniformity but in a bid yo please his masters, the Fulani, he plunged himself into what he now has today.

Remember it was the masquerade that first responded when the whole sag started.

I would still repeat my earlier stance that it's embarrassing, the way the church leadership in Osun has comported itself in the face of the prevailing circumstances there. It smirks off as a woman who had been embarrassed by a guy she had boasted to be her own, only for him to publicly declare his love to another lady.
The church's reaction is more of bitching, it's uncalled for.
I am a devout Christian.

hv u seen any student wearing that in any American public schools, despite their believe for human rights,

it is called school uniform no religious uniform

the authority sayed u must come with ur school uniforms not religious dressing

authorizing such in public places like schools will only bring more division in this country

Muslim kids avoiding Christian kids Christians doing d same, but with out those things they wear u can"t tell who is a Christian /Muslim

u will live or working together with a yeroba man for a long time without knowing that he is a Muslim because they don't go about bragging about religion , n this brings more unity because when u bragg i will Bragg too b4 u know what happening trouble don start be that

Religious time bomb in osun. so Mr "judge" if d military and other uniform organisations should start wearing hijab, you and your cohorts here will not condemn it? I think d word decorum still exist in d dictionary and you should check it.when this verdict starts to serve as a bad judicial precedence in this country I'll just be observing from a corner.
