Students on hijab are Muslims while others belong to other religions. A responsible leader must apply the rule of 'no favoritism and absence of preferential treatment' in a mixed society like osun state to avoid this type of shhit. Bt common sense has eluded most of our leaders in Nigeria. They always add to the problem of the masses leaving a burning house to chase rat. Xtians in osun must nt allow this indebted extremist to put the lives of their children in danger. Very soon we go hear Fulani herdsmen in osun killing students who aren't on hijab claiming they don't allow their cows to feed on grasses around the school premises.

Nigerian christians are too tolerant. I expected Yoruba christians to create a political party once tinubu decided to partner with the north. But they are just to tolerant.
It is very sad and pathetic. The docility of nigerian Christians will be their greatest undoing.

If everybody is equal before the law,and one group is allowed to wear whatever they like in the name of religion, then all other groups are now free to wear their religious uniforms.Unless somebody is saying that some people are above the law.

I would still repeat my earlier stance that it's embarrassing, the way the church leadership in Osun has comported itself in the face of the prevailing circumstances there. It smirks off as a woman who had been embarrassed by a guy she had boasted to be her own, only for him to publicly declare his love to another lady.
The church's reaction is more of bitching, it's uncalled for.

Hijjab Wearing in Secondary Schools!

The judgement didn't lay any bad judicial precedent at all. What a Hijjab? How is being used?

If CAN in Osun dissatisfies with the judgement. Appeal it. The truth is that wearing Church robes, regalia etc to school is far way off school dress norm. From the pictures, even boys wear church robes. Does the issue concern boys? obviously NO.

The issue centres on Covering of Head by Muslim Female students, using the same color of their school uniform. A corresponding retaliation should have Christian Female Students to put on Scarf like Noun to school.
Who are u to dictate what a Christian should wear?

Hijab is a culture thing not a religious thing i'm ashamed for the Christians critiquing these students.Imposing of foreign culture over a people starts very subtly and they are fighting a fight of faith,Do you know what we practice in Nigeria ia moderate christianity and just like hijabs,if we follow the jewish path wear taj-like caps and all people would shout...Hijabs should be worn outside school, what role does it play during the school period?

I want to know the functionality of hijabs during school periods.I remember some 20years ago in Secondary school,my dear o-called loyal teachers became attached to some students hold special classes for this sect before exams and tutor them the questions that would come out,it spilled out later on and it raised dust. What am i trying to say if you distinguish yourself from a system of mixture you position yourself to gain undue favor from your species over the other guy which inturn becomes discrimination...If you think a Christian teacher won't favor a christian student or the muslim teacher won't favor the muslim student with time in this kind of structure then you're deceiving yourself.

Be a truth seeker speak the truth.

The Christian students are not saying ban hijabs in school, they're saying we like to wear our own religious/faith wears to honor our faith as well.

Too many quacks and unqualified judges in Nigeria who do not understand the meaning of UNIFORM. The main reason why many Muslims hate fashola for his verdict on this hijab issue.

UNIFORM: equality, No tribalism. no discrepancy between the rich or poor,

If it is a public school, then it is a general school. Everyone must wear same uniform and separate religion from general sociopolitical situation.

However, if there's anyone who, because of his/her religion cannot mix with normal people or look like normal people or obey a general rule, should go to a specialised school that will accommodate like-minded.

U want to wear hijab, then go to a muslim school. You want to attend a public school, be ready to obey a public law.

In my secondary school days at staff school, we had both Muslims and Christians put on school uniforms.

We didn't here there parents tell the school authorities that Muslims had to put on hijab. These things never arose.

It's unfortunate that a state government is trying hard to islamize public institutions.

I've said it, that Nigeria will almost be islamized... It will happen. Reason, many chose to be shortsighted on a very important issue.

i DONT THINK YOU ARE A DEVOUTED.

UNTIL ALL THE SCHOOLS IN OSUN AND SOUTH WEST ARE ISLAMISED, YOU WILL CONTINUE LETS TAKE IT EASY.
Islam has its strategy, take over their political power, business and forced it on them. Christian will always claim to be liberal. by the time islam finish with schools in Osun and Oyo state, it will be un-redeemable. by the time almost schools are sold to mostly muslims and later force their religion on your people, our eyes will not open.

Muslim will force a girl, islamise her, force her into marriage and even impregnate her without the consent of her people, u will advise christian should go to court.

Muslim will see a man eating during their fasting, and will try to kill him for not fasting like them. islam creeps in like a thief in the night and it can force its religion. they behave to be cheated when they are not in government or not many in number but force it on all when they are in charge.

If you live ion the North You wont be saying all this.

Will Nigeria kick start this the fulfillment of this prophecy? Destruction of Religion:

(Revelation 18:1-14) . . .After these things I saw another angel descending from heaven, with great authority; and the earth was lighted up from his glory. 2 And he cried out with a strong voice, saying: “She has fallen! Babylon the Great has fallen, and she has become a dwelling place of demons and a lurking place of every unclean exhalation and a lurking place of every unclean and hated bird! 3 For because of the wine of the anger of her fornication all the nations have fallen [victim], and the kings of the earth committed fornication with her, and the traveling merchants of the earth became rich due to the power of her shameless luxury.” 4 And I heard another voice out of heaven say: “Get out of her, my people, if YOU do not want to share with her in her sins, and if YOU do not want to receive part of her plagues. 5 For her sins have massed together clear up to heaven, and God has called her acts of injustice to mind. 6 Render to her even as she herself rendered, and do to her twice as much, yes, twice the number of the things she did; in the cup in which she put a mixture put twice as much of the mixture for her. 7 To the extent that she glorified herself and lived in shameless luxury, to that extent give her torment and mourning. For in her heart she keeps saying, ‘I sit a queen, and I am no widow, and I shall never see mourning.’ 8 That is why in one day her plagues will come, death and mourning and famine, and she will be completely burned with fire, because Jehovah God, who judged her, is strong. 9 “And the kings of the earth who committed fornication with her and lived in shameless luxury will weep and beat themselves in grief over her, when they look at the smoke from the burning of her, 10 while they stand at a distance because of their fear of her torment and say, ‘Too bad, too bad, you great city, Babylon you strong city, because in one hour your judgment has arrived!’ 11 “Also, the traveling merchants of the earth are weeping and mourning over her, because there is no one to buy their full stock anymore, 12 a full stock of gold and silver and precious stone and pearls and fine linen and purple and silk and scarlet; and everything in scented wood and every sort of ivory object and every sort of object out of most precious wood and of copper and of iron and of marble; 13 also cinnamon and Indian spice and incense and perfumed oil and frankincense and wine and olive oil and fine flour and wheat and cattle and sheep, and horses and coaches and slaves and human souls. 14 Yes, the fine fruit that your soul desired has departed from you, and all the dainty things and the gorgeous things have perished from you, and never again will people find them.

The Gov. Rauf Aregbesola of Osun on Tuesday said students who wore unauthorised cloths to any public schools in the State would be expelled henceforth.

Aregbesola stated this at the commissioning of St Micheal’s Government Middle School, Ibokun while reacting to different choir robes and garments wore to Baptist High School in Iwo by some Christian students.

He said it was wrong and criminal for a section or group of people to have directed some innocent students to wear choir robes to schools against court’s judgment.
He urged whoever was not satisfied with the judgment to ventilate the grievance through legitimate means rather than trying to cause crises by resorting to self help.
According to him,``Government is not interested in any religion as being speculated. My goal is to improve education standard in the state.’’

Deputy Governor Titilaoye Tomori, who doubles as the Commissioner for Education, said the inauguration of the school had confirmed their mission statement in education.
Tomori said no fewer than 20 elementary, 22 middle and 17 high schools had either been commissioned or were at final stages of commissioning.

State Chairman, Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Mr Felix Awofisayo urged people to pay tax so that government can do more.
Some students of Iwo Baptist High School wore church garments and robes to school on Tuesday in reaction to the court ruling allowing Muslim female students to wear veils (hijab) to schools.

UNIFORMITY... to make everyone equal rich and poor tall and short blank and fair Christians and Muslims...by putting on the Hijab you de-uniform yourselves from the standard of the society you belong to.. Or do i not make sense ? They should wear Hijab to US Embassy even as muslims and see the reactions they wiull receive.. Hypocrites.. Don't muslim students study in Europe and Noth America do they wear it in those countries..No wonder the Finance Minster wore an Hijab in UAE with Buhari on ther assignment..
