This is the sorry state of Ikom-Calabar highway at Akpet Central Village in Cross River state. The road which has been badly affected due to heavy downpour -caused obstruction for road users and motorists for four days. The road was cleared by officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps on Thursday (yesterday). See photos below;

This road had been dwelling under neglect for long. What are the Senators and Representatives from the State doing about it or just fighting over Jeep?

And yesterday they were yanking and yapping anyhow about ikorodu I even thought it was only Sun that would be in that side of the country

I thought work had begun on that road, i remember reading about it.
It is pertinent for government to fix roads in the dry season to avoid travellers going through severe stress when the rains begin.
