pls i need someone to explain this..because i recently acquired a new birth certificate as the old one got misplaced and the issue is NPC but this is what i got on the german embassy checklist./

(Birth Certificate from National Population Commission or Declaration of Age deposed to by head of Family (
Please note that an NPC birth certificate may only be accepted if the applicant is born after December 13 th, 1992))
where you born after 13th December 1992? If yes go to any NPC office in ur locality and get birth certificate from them, if NOT the go to high court and swear an affidavit 'deposed to by ur father or mother' cos no be u born yourself........ Ur parent can get it for u from high court or u can tell high court that ur depodent is ur FATHER.

Hello house.

My questions are a bit specific and I have not be able to get a reliable answer yet from browsing several pages, starting from part 2.
I will appreciate if anyone will find time to address my questions.

My questions are:

1. I'm already 31 this year. What are my chances of securing admission and visa to study programs taught in English at any Germany university using only my O'level (WAEC) that I obtain since 2003. I'm interested to know if my age will be a major barrier

2. I understand the deadline for submission for most schools is July 15th, can I still meet up for winter resumption date

3. Almost all school I have researched request TOEFL/IELTS as part of their admission requirements. Can I sit for any of these exams and get result for my application before the winter deadline?

All suggestions will be highly appreciated.
1. Yes u can secure an admission with ur Waec but I hope u also have at least a first year transcript to back it. Age is not a barrier
2. U can still meet up if u really want it but ur documents should be sent via DHL/FEDEX cos u don't have time for NIPOST
3. Go to daad.de, there are so many schools that do not require TOEFL/IELTS as part of requirement so long as u have done English tought program here for naija....... U could also check if u could secure a place with TOELF/IELTS.
4. Have u heard about the new forex policy? From Monday guys could be looking for 2.5m-3m to fund block account instead of 1.8m

Hi! Please does an appointment need to be booked to certify signature for blocked account at the German Embassy Abuja? And what and what is needed to complete the opening of the blocked account? Thanks in advance.

No appointment needed. Just come on monday-thursday between 12:30-1pm. Latest 1pm! Those people are wicked smiley anything later than that they will tell you to come back the next day. As for the opening of blocked account I believe others are in a better position to help you out because I haven't reached that stage yet.

Regarding this age stuff. I was born in 1993 and I have a declaration of age deposed by my father. Is that ok?

Does that mean without atleast a first year transcript, one can not get admitted. No chance with just WEAC?

I hope u r not concluding abt the new forex policy stuff
cos I really see a possibility of this policy being cancelled.
according to many economist, this pplicy will do the economy more harm than good
don't forget that buhari was really against devaluation of naira stating that it will hv no positive effect to our economy.
now can u imagine the extent CBN wanna devalue the naira?honestly its very bad.from 199#/$ to #250/$ as speculated by economist.this policy may likely not stand .even if it may,it will be something reasonable .let's be hopefull

Why send to them from WES? Uni-assist just needs your transcript and besides their conversion is different from WES. WES is usually for US schools

Thanks Buddy. It being with WES for some years.
Just looking for a fast option in view of the close deadline.
How does uni-assist treat professional certifications then ? This like Oracle, Microsoft and RHCE Certs ?
Or are these to be submitted to the university directly ? Or they are irrelevant ?
Thanks in advance.

Check the requirements but I know, if you're into IT, it is very important and gives one advantage in admission.

Lets see what happens next week. People are understandably very worried about the potential increase in Blocked account funding. It is unfortunate.

I personally feel for the guy that his bank couldn't bid for his funding last week...terrible!

You are gonna get 1 year. But renewing it is not a problem. All u need is to have a job and a valid student registration certificate. You do not need to lodge another 8k to renew your permit. Thanks
I hope you are 100% sure about this? Note that most alien offices in Niedersachsen and even Bavaria are not flexible about this policies, it's 8k euros every year or nothing, they do not accept jobs contracts for renewals. He can only confirm this from someone in his city or not just mere assumptions based on what is obtainable somewhere else, even in a neighbouring city.
CC: Twinkle1, I think you might have the correct answer to this.

You are right! But here in NRW, having a job is enough to grant you a renewal. Thanks

Hi Folks,
It's high time those in Germany start posting facts and answering questions relating them to their personal experinces not assumption, All i see here is too much mis-information now and then on this thread based on simple Assumption.

Let's desist from assumption and giving false hope to those reading.

About the renewal, It's not compulsory to my understanding one must have 8k in his/her block account for the next renewal, a job contract might be sufficient depending on the official you meet there and am a witness to this.(Am relating this to my city/state HH)

Lastly, as a rule, i learnt some years back, i usually avoid going to Auslaenderbehoerde on Mondays,it's like Weekend enjoyment still dey shak them. cool
