mrvitalis:Ijaw... The worst tribe? If the whole tribes in the Niger Delta were as brave as the Ijaws all the cheating, marginalization and negligible by the government would not have been possible. The Ijaw... No matter how bad they might seem are the strength of the South South. |

I really don't think federal government's negotiation is genuine, i see it as a decoy! Personnels have been massively drafted from the west to the south, what do you think that's about? |

Ugomba:What do you mean? you prefer being in Nigeria with Hausa/Fulani or being in Biafra? if Niger Delta Republic is created and Biafra created too which would you love to join? I'm Anioma and I would join any country that would take me out of Nigeria with Hausa Fulani. it's not about the oil. I pray God to stop the oil flow so that Nigeria can disintegrate |

mukhcech:There has always been an uprising. Between 1999-2003 the struggle for resource control was at its climax. I still remember then, the former governor of Akwa Ibom - Obong Victor Attah and some other South South governors fought tooth and nail to ensure the region controlled it's resources. This is actually another dimension driven by a younger population. If the struggle of then could yield only 13%... A diffrent approach has to be taken to get better results. The Niger Delta want to control their resources just as every other region is doing. I don't support the idea of having a sovereign state, but if that is part of their agitation - they have their exclusive right to do so. It's the wearer of the shoes that knows where it incomvienices him the most. |

yom2:Insecurity ? Hahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahahahaha. So they are safe when drilling oil in the Niger Delta but won't feel safe locating their head offices in the same Niger Delta. If they can mouth infrastructures worth billion of dollars in the area... What then would they be scared about? The location of the head office is just politics man. Imagine an Ogoni man going to Lagos for a job interview of an oil company located in his backyard. I laugh in pigin. |

dirtymoney:All what you have written above is unnecessary. The question remains, where was the uprising in the last administration. The administration that was headed by their son. Maybe he was truly a coward and as fondly called ineffectual buffoon. |
| Re: FG-Ijaw Talks Spark Ethnic Tension In Niger Delta by Nobody: 12:25pm On Jun 19, 2016 |
mukhcech:There has always been a struggle sire. In the last administration, leaders and delegates from the South-South used the CONFAB as a platform to revive the need for true federalism and resource control. Please where is that report and the recommendations? All these name-calling, GEJ blame-game and diversion of attention from the focal point which is the call for resource control and true federalism would only but further aggravate Nigeria's problems and regional relationship. |

mrvitalis:We- the Igbos- like the Ijaws. In the Niger Delta region, It's only Ijaw women that give birth to real men. Any Ijaw girl here? |

Millerz:You say 13% is meagre? That sum amounted to roughly N10b monthly all through GEJ's administration. That, added to federal allocation which is about the highest in the country. Not forgetting the NDDC and the ND ministry. Sis, let's call a spade a spade. Its our own immediate leaders that have failed us the most. If Lagos state with a population of over 9m can be run with about N33b monthly, I see no reason why Delta state with a population of about 4m cannot be run with about N18b monthly ( thats aside NDDC and FG ministry funds). Now for people who think that the NDA are fighting for the Niger-Deltans, think again. The statement from the Urhobos and the Isokos confirms what I've been saying. Resource control will only lead to ethnic conflicts. No ethnic group in the region will roll over and allow the other control the resources. Not forgetting that the Biafrans also have their eyes on the oil. I just hope we don't go the way of South Sudan. |

Millerz:with all d cultist clash, kidnaping and randsomin? Chaotic city planning? D niger delta region needs more of visionary leaders like akpabio, duke and ben bruce, not embezlers and looters. Thats d only thing that can spurn growth of that region even ahead of lagos and abuja.otherwise give them 100percent d region will still be chaotic |
