85% of Nigerian men love light skinned ladies. They are the reason why a lot of dark skinned women have lost their self esteem and bleach away their old identity. It's not news that if two girls walked into a room full of men and one was dark + the other was really fair. Most eyes would be on the fair lady...

They are in high demands now o, the hussle is real. However, I think the OP's wife did the cheap bleaching. The IT thing now is the gentle removal of several layers with natural products like papaya, avocado etc. It doesn't make them smelly and gives even tone. As for me, I'm stuck with my dark skin, not because I don't like the fair ones but because it will be disastrous to change. Everyone should know her limits

Some skin sef are immune to bleaching. I tried and tried. Managed to reach chocolate. Got preg had my baby and I'm back to dudu.

I've given up already. I'm lucky if I remember to rub baby oil on my skin before heading out the door.

Mayb I was able to bleach the baby while in my womb, cos she came out white like this, and she's still oyinbo and looks japanese. If not for some uncanning resemblance, people will say I adopted her

Nawa o,see as una jus dey insult my beloved state,lol! I doubt that's true,was der dis year (uyo thoo and dat na d main place sef) I ddnt come accros bleached ladies. Mind you pple frm my side are naturally ffair too so don't mistaken a light skinned lady for a bleached one. I am for toning ur skin to make it even and all but not bleach away your epidermis abi na dermis dem dey call am. Saw one yday here in lagos,her feetgave her away. I never defined being fair as a tools for defining beauty. I'm dark complexion person too n I'm not ruling out marring a dark person just dat I love fair ladies more and can't b so blind to date/marry a bleacher.

Whether fair or dark IQ is what matters most in marriage.
