The allowances can never be illegal. How can the minister collect her own and refuse to pay others and you call that illegal? No, I disagree.

Secondly, they can never make it public if it is illegal. If anyone says it is illegal, then, let the minister be probed. If it is confirmed that she collected her own N30m, let her be jailed fast fast. That's how to fight corruption

Hypocrisy is when she collects her own allowance.

If the allowance is part of her employment contract, it is not bad. However, under-the-table allowances that the report seems to suggest the workers want will not work

Their grouse, it was learnt, is over the non-payment of what they termed their allowances, which amounted to N1.2 billion.

The protesting workers must be sick. The era where some federal workers in some powerful ministries get illegal allowances is over. All allowances not captured in the appropriation act or recognized by extant regulations is illegal and should not be paid.
its easy to castigate when it does not directly involves you.SOme people have been short changed while the politicians are smiling to the bank.I have parents whose difference in salary where not paid circa 1 year no even though they have been promoted in the civil service.

I guess the last news we heard about them ministers was N4m for housing, someone media house even reported Kemi Adeosun was staying in Tinubu's property in Abuja, and some other ministers have not been having it funny with accommodation. The ministers requested for N20M, and Buhari flat out rejected.

Does anyone have any other concrete proof to disproof the above, or some more reliable info to validate the worker's claim, and verify if the workers got their own housing allowance, or not?

Let's work with facts in lieu of emotions, opinions, and rumours.

it is illegal cos it is not covered by the budget. Hers is covered and approved by buhari. If the workers feel otherwise, they should direct their grievances to buhari who must have given the order for their allowances to be cut short. Their protest and demands are illegal.
And how did u knwit was approved and covered by Buhari?
