I just got this message not long ago from AVDD. it reads,
Good afternoon. Please treat this as urgent. If you were to (be) selected to pitch at the Aso Villa Demo Day, which location would you prefer, Logos, Abuja or Port-Harcourt? Send your preferred location and Start-up name to (08026196882) within an hour of receipt of this SMS.
Please who else got this message??

Wow..That makes it legit then, I was scared when I saw the "bare" phone number. I was expecting them to ask us to send an email to them.. It's all good bro, I pray we are selected..

Guys i don't understand. The Pitch is in Lagos specifically at Landmark center. How come all of a sudden we are getting an SMS asking us to choose a location. I got the SMS too, i have replied it but if this is truly from the organizers then its a bit shabby. The website could have at least been updated or a proper email sent out. Even after registering there is no email notification of receipt and i doubt if anyone has received an email invitation.

Anyway, i had just left after booking my ticket to Lagos for tomorrow, even though Abuja would be most convenient for me. So i hope this SMS modality gives us a proper feedback.

I was sceptical at first about sending in the details but then I remembered that there was no other way we could have been contacted if not through our phone numbers. I also saw landmark on the site, I believe they are trying to bring it closer and eliminate more persons..

Same thought i had too but then i tried calling the airtel number on the SMS to try to clarify, my truecaller says its Charles Aborishade. The line is either not picked up or busy.

I've bought my ticket now so i'm really confused as to what to do. Because if i leave for Lagos tomorrow and i've confirmed to this SMS which i'm not sure about that i prefer Abuja and then all of a sudden i receive a message to come and pitch in Abuja.....wahala.

Let's hope it is legit.. Too bad, You in some real challenge there..You will have to come back to Abuja to pitch if you are picked. no two ways about that. I chose Lagos though.

Yea, I received it too. I created the other thread. Port Harcourt has been added to the locations too, that's great.

Pls what of anybody that didn't register, can they still attend the program to pitch?

And pls what was the reply you guys get after that sending your preferred location to the number

Yeah I think it is a wise move.. The time is too short to mobilise everyone to Lagos together.. I still believe there will be room for more ideas to pitch instead of the other day 100 that was expected to pitch at Lagos

This is an invitation to attend the event..as an observer..

After declining your pitch...they now want to utilize you to boast their spectators...! I smell insincerity, in fact...I suspect...the govt just want to use this medium to steal peoples ideas.... At the end the so called investors won't give you a fathen.

We all know APC wasn't prepared but to steal ideas through deceit is just demonic.

By the special grace of God, I will be attending the event tomorrow at Landmark Event Center and I must pitch my business idea. And the money must be giving to me (just faith working). I have applied to so many pitch programme but this one should be my final Bustop.
