Freezing of Fayose's Account is Illegal
There is no other way to describe it.

1. To freeze an account, there must be an order of court.

2. For the court to make an order, there must be papers (court process) filed in court and signed by the judge.

3. Section 308(1)(a) says no suit can be instituted against Fayose in any court in Nigeria. So, no process of court can be issued, signed or served, if it bears Fayose's name, in his personal capacity.

4. By sections 26-34 of the EFCC Act, a suspect must have been arrested for his account to be frozen. By section 308 of 1999 Constitution, Fayose cannot be
arrested and his bank account cannot be frozen.

We must encourage EFCC to act according to law, or else we go into full blown dictatorship.
There is no controversy in this matter. EFCC should de freeze the account, pile up its investigations and wait for Fayose to complete his tenure. Pure and simple.

Fayose talking trash is illegal, there's no other way to describe it.

Fayose and other governors owing salary is illegal. There's no other way to describe that.

Accounts under investigation can be frozen without the owner appearing before EFCC does that.

A similar case is GANI Fawehinmi against a sitting Governor back then. I think it is Tinubu.


He won the case at supreme Court. With the ruling that Despite immunity, a Governor can be investigated.

So because of immunity, billions of our collective wealth should be left with him ?

Am waiting to hear what the APC wailers would say about their all knowing Mr Intergrity.. I wanna ask.. they said immunity does not stop them from investigating him abi.. fine no problem.. After investigation.. would they arrest him.. These government ain't ripe for democracy.. if the man has secret fund.. why don't you get d case filles n wait till his tenure expires.. And some people would come here n say buhari is fighting anti-graft war.. Smh

Dunno why Buhari govt is mainly corruption-based. Wasting time and resources on irrelevances but i never say fighting corruption is bad but Buhari is taking it 2 far and that is why corruption is fighting back.

They will not arrest him until he is impeached or he finished his tenure.

Freezing Fayose's account is illegal? I doubt. Is he not a Nigerian? Guy, if you have read the powers of the EFCC recently, you will understand that it has the power to freeze or confiscate any account or asset suspected to have been acquired through fraudulent means.

When Fayose was stealing Nigerians' money, nobody ask for a court order or an injunction. Now that we want back our yams, court order has become key.

Anyway, let the "degoatification" process begin.

Someone up there is saying why is the government focused on fighting corruption alone! The answer is simple, corruption is the root of all evil. Corruption is why a governor would stuff his personal account with state funds and refuse to pay his workers, same reason funds meant for capital projects will be siphoned and no work done, same reason no development will come. Same reason people will use money meant to fight boko haram to share to their cronnies.

First seek how to end corruption and every other thing will fall in line. No sound development blue-print will see the light of the day when corruption is the order of the day.

The fact that EFCC is keeping everything on the downlow does not mean they did not do their job right


and since when does EFCC has direct access to freeze anyone's account ??

It is very obvious that this fight against corruption is one sided. It is primarily against those in opposition party. Is it only Fayose that is owing his workerd while stacking up billions in his account? I will take this government serious the day she freezes Aregbesola's account.

This currently ongoing investigation is all about #Dasukigate and not about any other yet. The Fayose frozen account has been linked to #Dasukigate hence his account got frozen. Instead of this man to focus on what is at hand, but rather chose to flunk the mud all in a bid to go down with everyone in sight...

Gov. Peter Ayodele Fayose, I beg you in the name of God EFCC accused you of having #Dasukigate in your personal account could you please defend that? Oga sir, don't distract us from this case, rather tell us what you know about this allegation and stop behaving like a wounded lion who's ready to devour/destroy anything that's in its way after being wounded by a gunshot of a hunter!
