Federal character applies to the entirety of federal appointments, not any particular section of the country. It does not apply to service or defense chiefs as a particular class. That they all appear to be from a particular part of the country may be either coincidence or an express action, in any case it is the President's prerogative. Thats his number 1 job to ensure security. You are not the one to teach him what to do

U can argue from now till high heavens but u are not the commander in chief of armed forces, neither are u a security expert.
