This is Ambode

Ambode knows that the only way to make his people happy is to deliver on his campaign promises.

So Ambode does not have time to travel round the globe: He is in a hurry to develop his state.

Ambode is smart.

Be like Ambode.
This is normal with APC governors. Do gra-gra in your first term, then get re-elected for second term, then start looting. So all those praising Ambode should watch out for part II. Fashola, Oshomole, Ajimobi, etc, it is same pattern. This is the scam they sell to the South Westerners and they keep falling for it.

it's like that everywhere in the world. that's why parliamentary system of government is better than presidential system. Even Obama did not perform better in his 2nd term.

Ambode again! When will he arrive gan self? So, with all these, he's still 'ambo'?. Issorite, I go wait here to see him arrive.

On a serious note, this man will kill me with shame because I didn't stop at not voting for him but campaigned vigorously against him which made him lose the 5 polling units in my vicinity at Egbeda area. I'm so sorry to those I mislead about him.

OK, as a sign of respect, I have nothing to give him but I have already voted for him in 2019 only waiting for the formality of electioneering.

Very classy of you but still keep him on his toes as a constructive critic. As a Lagosian, I am happy so far with Ambode so far and was one of those who stated that he can even do better than Fashola but there should be no room for complacency. We must continue to challenge him to deliver.

I knew Ambode will transform Lagos and that was why I was one of the few to state with certainty that he can do better than Fashola. Remember the thread below you contributed to?

https://www.nairaland.com/2684014/yoruba-commonwealth-politics/378

I left that thread when puffed up and arrogantly self-important yet ultimately ignorant posters like Katsumoto and his blind followership, who do not know the SW and have not set foot there in a long time if ever, started insulting Yoruba leader and branding them all "failures" to include Ambode. My argument was that you cannot be for progressive leadership and yet be unwilling to give new leaders a chance in a time when paucity of funds meant Governors may not move as fast as they would like to. Yet Ambode is disgracing them all to bear out my opinion that many of the present crop of SW leaders should be supported rather than derided hollowly and ignorantly because they are better than their compatriots throughout Nigeria comparatively and given the atmosphere they work in. Anyway I am just happy, as a Lagosian, that Ambode is 'coming good' as I insisted he would.

How will the 2nd Term looks like ? considering Fashola's over-performance in his 1st term too.

SW Governors are known to perform on their first leg, history has shown that their second term is a colossal disaster.

Examples:
- Fashola
- Aregbesola
- Ajimobi
- Amosu
Among others... Should we now call for just ONE term for all governors?

Are you not getting ahead of yourself with the negativity? Are you a Lagosian? If yes simply support your performing governor to do as much as he can today and stop the doom-and-gloom focus on what will happen in four years time.

Besides your "colossal disaster" generalisation is wrong. Fashola did well in his second term but not as noticeably as in his first term because some of the project in his first term were really fundamental foundation projects. Aregbesola, despite good intentions, was overtaken by lack of funds and a State increasingly recieving less because of falling FG allocation due to crashing oil prices. Ditto for Ogun and Oyo. You forget that the exemplary non-oil income of Lagos, i.e IGR which Fashola helped to raise massively in 8 years, means it is the only State in Nigeria capable of surviving without oil income .

This gives Ambode, an already focused leader, room to 'breathe' and shine when other first-term performers like Amosun et al are really struggling and do not have the same opportunity because IGR is not where it should be and virtually all FG allocation being received, in a time oil income is very low, must go towards recurrent expenditure, like salary, rather than towards capital spending. How many Nigerian governor do you see spending heavily on capital projects today? Simply give credit where due and move on. You did not contribute to praise Ambode. Instead you spoke to deliver your usual biased and gloomy opinion against APC leaders you can never seem to control even when such is totally out of place and unnecessary.

When folks like Gbawe come here to verbose om how Fashola raised the IGR of Lagos state I laugh. Do you guys even know that almost 80% of Lagos IGR comes from PAYE?

How that can be attributed to the ingenuity of a governor beats me.
