MILITANT group, Niger Delta Avengers, on Saturday, asked President Muhammadu Buhari to visit the Niger Delta region to see for himself what the people are passing through despite the huge revenue from the region.
In a statement signed by the spokesman of the militant group, Moduch Agbinibo, lamented the under development of the region.
The statement pointed out that President Buhari needs to visit some of the host communities of some oil multinational firms to have a firsthand judgment of what the people of the region have been subjected to for years.
According to the group, “The Nigeria President Buhari should visit Ugborodo, host to Chevron crude oil Export terminal/EGTL gas plant, Ogulagha, host to Shell Forcados Crude Oil Export terminal/tank farm, Bonny Island, host to Shell Bonny Crude Oil Export terminal/NLNG gas terminal, Brass host to Agip/ENI export terminal and Ibeno, host to ExxonMobil Qua Iboe crude export terminal.
“These are just the export terminals not talking about the numerous oil and gas flow stations and the oil Wells that crisscrossed the length and breadth of the Niger Delta.”
“Mr President come and see for yourself what the host communities are going through in the hands of Nigeria government and the multinationals,” the statement further added.

Niger Delta avengers and buhari are now friends, the other day bubu was begging them, now they are inviting him.
On a more serious note, am totally in support of the demand of the Niger Delta avengers and even more, warri is suppose to be one of the most developed city in Nigeria, but as I speak there's no good road in warri, is as if we don't have a governor for the past 8yrs. What i don't support is their destructive approach they use, cus now even illiterate in the region is now forming militant.

The same people that threatened to assassinate him if he came to the ND just weeks ago, are now sending him an invite and expect him to honour it?

We all feel the plight of the Delta. I and many other Nigerians want development and cleanup of the Delta because its only fair; but what will not be tolerated is blackmail and willful sabotage. Impossible.

The initial demands of the terrorists is the number one thing that discredited their struggle from the onset, and robbed them of any credibility and sympathy from patriotic Nigerians nationwide. Release Kanu and Dasuki arbitrarily? They goofed big time.

U claim u are educated, then u should understand the revenue sharing formula and know the fedral government is not ur problem but ur state leaders

I don't believe this till I see similar post on their Official twitter handle. But if this came from them, they should acknowledge the huge revenue accuring the Niger Delta also. Now is it the problem of Buhari, and other Nigerians, if the state government did not make judicious use of this huge revenue allocations the states were and are still receiving. Jonathan their "son" was there for 5years, still he did nothing for the Niger Delta, the weren't bombing the Pipelines and no ridiculous proliferation of lazy Militants that are looking for cheap money, now the table turned, they want to set the country on fire. They should channel their dynamite to those that robbed them of the needed development. The just put the cart before the horse, they should have sued for dialogue before the start throwing dynamite. Britain voted to exit the EU, they did not throw bombs.

The federal govt only started giving listening ears to their request when they started blowing up pipelines.... I guess the only way to get Buhari's attention is through violent attacks on national economy boosting things and also
