Gud day all d gurus in d house, my hp dv6 laptop screen suddenly went blank while seeing one movie like dat.. I've tried all d possible solutions ( Removing d ba3 n hold power button for 30sec or 1min, Remove n re-insert d ram) I found online but d laptop refused to display..It will ON bt d screen won't display any graphic though d sound is working. The engineer I met said I would need to change d screen. Mba!.. Though I have not tested d sytem with external monitor.. Any guru Engineer particularly in Kwara shld help me out..

The lapptop just developed VGA problem,its a common problem associated with hp dv 6,u cn take it to an engineer to heat it,but it will still develop that same issue maybe after 3 to 6 months again,depends....best thing to do now is get a new motherboard or work the vga nd sale the laptop asap.

That means it has develop VGA problem you will have to give to an engineer but it may still persist again because there is no permanent solution to it except if you can change the VGA from the board but it will cost you a lot of money....

Take it to an engineer,and continue using it... I'll advice u not to sell cos you and your buyer will turn enemy soon but if you're the type that doesn't care... Do the necessary thing and sell it...


After that, avoid anything call AMD.

Except if your office, car, house is air-conditioned and u don't use it outdoor... Lol

this issue is common with most AMD boards. you may heat the VGA and you may not use it up to a week if the board has been heat before. my advise is to purchase another mother board with intel processor. it should be abt 20k. or trade it in and purchase another system.

Too much heat..... Make sure you service ur laptop, clean fan and add paste(coolant) on processor.. Don't place it on ur bed or couch,place on flat surface to allow heat to blow out...

Don't use it to do high graphic work, like watching YouTube, photoshop, gaming etc...


AMD doesn't have second hand value, except you sell to someone who doesn't know anything about laptop, no seller will buy or want to swap with AMD laptop especially when they see any sign of it being loose before.
