From experience as a Toyota camry owner, please go for 2005 Corolla, you will not regret that decision. Camry big daddy has its good side and bad side. But on overall rating between the two, Corolla comes first in all. My 2kobo for you.

Its actually a matter of choice however both have their issues. Why some of these guys are discouraging you from the camry is because the camry 2.4 litre engine usually has an engine bolt issue sometime over 100,000km and to fix takes some work or better still some people just change the engine. The bolt causes engine leakage into the gasket and after a while, the engine knocks. But this doesn't happen with the V6 luckily and so If you want to go for the camry go for the v6. If not go for your corolla. But to help you even more, google both cars, their name, year and problems. You will see the types of issues they have on separate car forums. hope this helps.

Remember corolla also become paper at high speed. Also after about 120000miles, ur corolla may becomes oil thirsty. However, on account of this 145 naira per liter, u may go for corolla..

As a camry pencil owner, for me I want to sell it and upgrade to toyota corolla sport 2003-4. If you re looking for something big go for big daddy but for me it's toyota corolla all the way.

corolla become paper at high speed? chai.
a 2007 Honda city clocked 160+ kilometers per hour for several minutes on benin-asaba expressway and it didn't fly away like paper.
if you think heavier cars handle better, you are on a long thing. so many factors come into play.
about the oil issue, nawao. I know a corolla with over 200k miles and oil consumption is okay.
