sammyj:As long as we import a great percentage of what we consume, any hope of a strong Naira is just baseless fantasy. As long we run a generator economy, any hope of industrialization, economic diversification, and low unemployment are just wishful fantasies. There is absolutely no economically fundamental basis for a strong Naira in the near future. But then, wishes , dreams and fantasies are Free. |

plaetton:Don't you think that a FULLY floated naira, which will lead to devaluation can encourage more LOCAL consumption leading to increased local production? Otherwise how do you suggest we make LOCAL consumption more attractive? |

anonimi:100%. Of course. It is economically imperative to make imports costlier. Necessity is the mother of invention. If we don't do everything within reason to discourage imports and our appetite for imported goods, industrialization and employment creation will forever remain a pipe dream. Naira needs to find it's true market value, no matter what it is. |

Just when i thought Emefiele had grown some balls ![]() Soludo should come back from exile and Sanusi should temporarily drop his turban. These two men can initiate policies that will stabilize the economy. Emefiele only dances to the tune of the President. |

I knew that is how it has always been, this economic team is pure bunch of misgruntled fellows who knows nothing about challenges and good economic direction. No body should rejoice, I wish I had the resources to use every vaccum created by this mofos to fleece my own cake from the system |
