Guy go to your PFA and tell them to print for you, your Pension statement of account from inception. You can get it free of charge. This statement is not always stamped and you don't need to notarised it. If you notarised it, it becomes invalid. I applied for TRV to study PhD in Music at the University of Alberta and it was approved on June 22nd, 2016.
You can't use your Pension fund to cater for your studies. Your Pension account is a financial security that generates income on quarterly basis and can only be accessed upon retirement or when one clock 50 or thereabout. So, including it in your application only connotes, if am not mistaking here, a tie to your homeland.

Thanks boss for your timely response. I'm actually applying for a PRV. So I don't know if they would accept it as a POF since I can't have access to it until retirement or so.

Did the officer at POE ask the reason for your early arrival? What answer did you give?
For those arriving too early before resumption, prepare to explain the reason for your early arrival to avoid being sent back @ POE.

As a faculty member, that grade cannot even give you an admission into a PhD programme in Nigeria. PhD grade is from 60% upward. But bro all hope is not lost. Most Canadian University place emphasis more on undergraduate degree. If you have a strong undergraduate result, you can apply for M.Eng/PhD programme.
Or better still you can do a postgraduate diploma.
This is my view, others may have superior advice than this. Best of luck

Thanks for your prompt response.

My first degree CGPA is 4.09.

Sure you do have access to 25% of the money, you can state it on the statement that only 25% is accessible, depending on the current balance..that can as well go a long way considering the current exchange rate, although I stand to be corrected.

Read the post very well, the guy said they didn't ask him any question at the POE. I know two guys that travel to canada in May.

That post also made mention of someone that was sent back. The point is this: if you're arriving too early before resumption, be prepared to provide an explanation in case the officer asks. The fact that other people where not asked any question does not necessary imply that you will not be asked. It's better you're prepared for the questions and its not asked than to be unprepared and surprised.

You need to pass your Medicals to be approved. Did you say you received a call (as in phone call)? From the who? CIC or the Clinic. If from the Clinic, may be they ommitted something from the initial test. Whatever the case, guess u have no choice in the matter than to submit yourself for further medicals.

if it does not raise a red flag why does he need to provide "an explanatory reason for going for PGC"?
Do you also 'disagree' that he has "better chances of securing a study permit with a Masters admission than a PGC admission."?
some1 with 2.1,going for masters and also with 3yrs experience, still a VO would say "that the applicant has not provided compelling reasons for study in canada, unclear why applicant chose canada than to undertake such program in his native country" afterwards with some stated reasons the application was refused..every case is different,it depends on you and ur God. You can't directly say some1 with CGPA of 3.75 will be denied visa for not going for masters yet also such CGPA would gain masters admission for one..my argument with you was you categorically stating it is a RED flag for going for PGC and not masters. Every program one opts vary with one's circumstance as long as such program level is above the UG degree..

I would advise you to send ur transcript to an organisation in Nigeria where u av some1 in high position that will collect it for u den u can scan it to ur schools if dey allow scanned documents. Sent mine to my dad's place of work den he collected it for me so I av d copy and I use it anytime I want. Hope dis helps

OGIYEN,

As an alternative, if you're applying to a school that requests an online upload of your transcript, give your school in Nigeria all necessary credentials to access the portal.

After the upload must have been completed, go to the portal to verify it and get a copy for yourself.

Schools that use Bear Tracks would definitely favor you.

Good luck

This is false information. My CGPA was lower than 2.9 and I got admission for a masters program in canada. The chances are slim but not impossible
you don't type false information here,we all know 2-1 is for master, and master programs are more competitive, besides did I typed impossible, the chances are very low esp.why going for the slim chance, you can only advice him/her to try on it but not 100%sure,so I will advise you to use a better word for 'false information'

I applied to Canadian Mennonite university for their pre-professional program in nursing. It's quite a young school...its inception is just about twenty years. It's a Christian School (Mennonites). The tuition is less expensive like you said and they have a 20percent discount for international students from developing countries. I am still in Nigeria but from what I have read, watched and heard about the school...its genuine and fast coming up. I asked a brother in Winnipeg and he said he knows the schools but it's normal popular because it's still new sort of. I feel it's a place I will enjoy being in for at least a year till I cross to nursing school. Someone on thisnthread who knows Winnipeg can all help out. That's d summary I can give

Hello house,
Sorry if I'm taking you guys back. I hold a degree in French language from a school here in Nigeria & a master's degree in human resources management from the UK, now I'd like to seek admission to further my studies in Canada, but I'm wondering if I'd be admitted for another masters program or is PhD more advisable in this case? Also I have 2 kids whom I'd love to go with ages 7&4. Will it be possible to study & work at same time? I'd love to get your opinions on this please. Thanks.

Bro don't overwork yourself on this issue to avoid unnecessary tension. Your RSA account according to CIC is part of ur POF if you have one. If you are a member of any registered Coperative society, you can get a statement from them and it form part of your POF. I can't mislead you in this regard, but the onus of accepting or rejecting this piece of information lies within you.
Best of luck
