Am seeing these for the first time. By the way its like only one person appears to be the hawker.........Are you thinking what am thinking? The case of Nigeria is guards, or permit me to say legion of hawkers hovering all over the place.

This does not mean the guy wasn't breaking a law and if caught will get punished. Also there are areas where street trading and hawking is strictly forbidden in America.your pic shows a lone hustler and he isn't running in front of moving vehicles like ours here.

I am not just totally in support of this. Especially when there is no alternatives for the seller. Not nice.

Not enough reason to permit that on our major roads.

There are hawkers everywhere abroad, they are called sales men. Many of them don't carry goods on the head and run after traffic. Much as it is a laudable idea if there is arrangement to keep them off the streets and engaged in something useful, it will be much better because if all these guys enter street to do evil, that one be say the gobe don dey go Mowe.

But the truth remains that if these hawkers are put off the street, Lagos will lose a part of its 'flavour' and identity and also, pple fit dey die from thirst and hunger when stuck in traffic.

I don't really know the problem of these ipod youths on nairaland. Ambode is working and it is clear even to the blind. How will a sane person criticize street hawking for God sake, are we to politicize everything, are we going to wait till another calamity occur before reason well. If one of ur relatives is on the street, it is better u tie him down or it may be calamitous for him cos Ambode really mean business in lagos.
