Why all these sudden negative reports about women from different parts of the country? Are they out to carve a niche for themselves for the wrong reasons?

Most times I keep wondering why our black women are so heartless, most especially naija women to there house helpers.
Not only you. Nigerian women are evil brutes when dealing with house helps. Same evil species are the first to cry " violence against women" at the slightest opportunity

though i dont support this kind of force but sometimes force is needed.

without force you cant run a country(humans)

without force you cant know conflict and without conflict there is no peace.

isreal uses force to remain alive

Nigerian Army uses force to keep us safe

War(force) is legal remember?

humans sometimes need physical pains to get motivation to do the right thing.

fight(force) is always the last option to settle a dispute.

so my dear, use of force is not bad dont ake everything the west tells you. wonder why their children are spoilt? too much pampering.
How has force improved the lives of Nigerians? With all the force we keep bringing up more violent people and corrupt citizens. Of what use is force when it does not impact the country positively? Meanwhile children in the west who are "spoilt" according to you are moving forward in leaps and bounds. Force does not solve everything. What is the point of beating a child for waking up late or wetting the bed? Only lazy parents who can't think do that. You can see the result in Nigeria's society and government. And the army and police force is not what we are talking about. Did the army do that to the child?

you are not making sense. let police and army go on strike and see how things turn out. law are executed with force, without forceful compliance there will be no order. without millitary force boko haram would have ran over Nigeria. countries are created and maintained with force. the society is about force.

and about the western kids moving forward what does that mean? building sky scrapers and wearing suits? do we need to measure our 'progress' with their own type of progress? western education brought about corruption. increased need. competition. you take a loan and you pay 30% and they call it business. that is clearly stealing and wickedness. it would have been better if we did just farming and live without worrying about material gains and things like iphone, nice shoes, cool laptosp and expensive cars. the oppressed feel the need to get theirs and jealousy comes in. desperation comes in. crime increases. abeg make i hear word

Honestly, sometimes we need noy wait for the worst to happen. A few strong-willed women in the area can get a handful of junction boys with throats spiced with BabyOkwu to deal with this woman thoroughly.
Whatever his offence was, there are other punishments with no physical involvement. This is just wickedness and pure frustration.

This is not fair. Actions like this could prevent those who carry the act from getting fulfilled joy and peace. It could even affect their own children in a way;cause how you treat the offspring of others, is how yours will be treated.

I think you are confused as to what I mean by force. Ok. I mean beating a child. From my understanding, Nigerians beat their children so that they can become better children and grow up to be good citizens. How is that working out for Nigeria? Nigeria, with all it's beating is one of the crappiest country in the world. Meanwhile countries who don't believe in this are light years ahead of us. If beating a child makes a child awesome, how has it not transformed Nigeria for the better?

75% of housewives...are used to this brutal acts...towards their househelpers...my aunty self is not an exemption. I always have issues with her on phone whenever I got any report from neighbours. I secretly sent some money to a good neighbor in her compound to take the poor girl back to her family in benue state.am so impressed as I got to know now that my aunty is doing everywork on her own now as her husband refused to hire another househelper for her.lols...I know the day she will get to know that am the super planner...there will be big fight.I dnt even know may be to call this new married women as the real devil.

I wish I knew the appropriate authorities to report issues like this too. There's one who lives on my street that maltreatment hers like there is no tomorrow and the funny thing is that they are often abused for flimsy things
Another woman still on my street put black pepper into her 13 year old daughter's eyes. Because she didn't take out a chair from the rain. Isn't it stupid?

Nigerians beat their children out of frustration most times. transfer of aggression. what do you expect. in my first response i told you i dont buy the idea of beating a kid to an extent but you need to admit that force is ok sometimes. it sends a signal. period.

Re: Woman Blinds 12-year-old Houseboy In Lagos (photo) by Missmossy(f): 5:02pm On Jul 06, 2016
Gosh!! Really disheartening and one woman gave to this heinous child beater and said i have a child not knowing she is a monster. She should be dealt with biko. Its high time people like her start getting what they deserve for making these children victims of domestic violence/abuse. I pity the boy so much, all these Togo citizens too that give out their kids anyhow they should rather have allowed the boy to suffer with them.

E not follow at all.
force should be used only if other methods have failed and definitely not for children.
so you support this wickedness abi?

even with the spoilt western children, they are far far smarter, prouductive and humane than ours.

Why always women? angry

You hardly hear of such atrocities being committed by men (i.e. abuse of domestic helps/housemaids) it is almost always women.

Of course, not all women are that way but what is it about them that brings out this undue harshness? Is there a psychological or hormonal explanation for this?

You see, in all honesty i do not really blame the madam. I mean, she deserves to be punished but the majority of the blame rests on the boy's parents.
I blame the parents of the boy for selling their son into slavery. No matter how poor you are, you should never give away your child. Make una soak that garri together and go hungry together.

I am really tired of reading cases like this.
Think about this. Do you know if the lad is an orphan. Let's not be swift in passing judgement...

Wait a minute! I know this is a case of Child Abuse and shouldn't be treated with levity but a nairalander once created a thread in the family section about this particular boy claiming he is a neighbour's ward or stepson or so whom he said he needed advice on how to help and he kept updating us then on the latest maltreatment the boy got and suddenly the guy just disappeared without giving us an update if he eventually helped after being given several advices, now this same boy is being reported being maltreated. Who are we to believe now but one thing is common with both stories and that is "Child Abuse". This boy needs help as soon as possible and not this publicity stunt that his picture is being used for on the internet. If this story is so true it simply means the silly guy that created the thread then just wanted to post something on nairaland that would attract comments and not help the poor boy. What a shame! don't know why some people have no conscience. SMH
