I presently use a Toyota Matrix 2005 with a mileage of precisely 297,000km. Good Maintenance history. High grade synthetic oil used for the engine every four months. Gear Servicing done once a year. So also differential servicing. Fuel level has 'never' gone below half. Tyre pressure recommendation as stated on the door side is always adhered to and checked every week. Interior is very clean. Car is washed everyday with liquid Carwash (ABRO)......etc..................and I don't use any 'kazeem' for repairs.....I stay very close to my office (10mins Drive). But I do a lot of highway on weekends. I am not a car guru but just believe in prompt maintenance.

Anyone in the house with a high mileage car? Pls share your experience. Proceed with this format:

- All other experience and maintenance history
-Any advice for high mileage car usage

Mazda MPV 2000

Will hit 304,000 km (190,000 miles) in a couple of days.

Looking forward to 500,000 km (310,685 miles) in 4 years time.

Also anal retentive about maintenance.

Running the car cause I love it

Spent 4 times the current value of the car on maintenance since purchase so will never sell to anyone unless they can pay me 8 times the cost of the car LOL

Since that will never happen, no plans to sell it ever.

Will update with pic when it hits 190,000 miles

I have a camry @ almost 180000km.

Even tho I recently changed the engine to a brand new one, gear box, and almost everything to a new one.

I guess I drive a brand new car nau!! grin

I bought My Toyota camry Pencil at 155,000 mileage. It's now 260,000 and it's been over a year I purchased it.

Peugeot 307, 2005 model, mileage is 308425 presently, Abuja - Kano every Friday and Kano - Abuja every Monday. I use total quartz 9000 for service, I normally change timing and engine belt every December, still strong moving like fighter jet. Still enjoying it no plan of selling it now. I think mileage is just a number it never affect engine performance.

i have a 2007 hyundai elantra that is currently over 260,000km. Still going on strong kakaraka.

My though exactly. It being a US brand, that mileage sure is in Miles. The km equivalent then should be 469,928.5km

corolla 2004 model 167k mileage. Still service at 5000km. who has similar car same mileage range? any advice pls

Toyota 4Runner 2005 V6 4.0 litter engine with about 188,000km. Over 4yrs and yet to see a mechanic. I use regular Mobil XHP for servicing every 3 months. It was abt 145000 when I bought it. Never run from a vehicle because of just high mileage.
