I don't know if I am the only one noticing this but:

Al-Makura is getting fatter. Look how rounded his cheeks and face are now looking compared to when he just came to power.

mine can boast, but he pays that is one goo thing. The economy is really dead, even at that baba pays us our bar. He had to lay off so many workers, and we understood it wasn't his fault. Buhari useless policies caused it

When ever these people want to downsize, the merge wages workers earn is the first place they look at

would the salary cut include his too, special assistants, the numerous personal assistants to the surplus special assistants

with the way inflation is orbiting the skies, tell me why corruption would not be rampant

its a big shame on the state govt that the home of solid minerals would wait for hand outs from the federal government to pay.

if the government was working, nasarawa should be in the league of big state

I blame the state for voting in a lazy dullard.

enjoy the change

Everyone downsizes in times of recession so stop all this noise. It is sound economics to cut your expenses and if certain appointments are wasteful they will go as well to control the wage bill. The governor is right. He cannot use 100% of his revenues to serve 1% of the populace. Remember this revenue is not just natural resources but tax, VAT, etc. You have to clean the chicken coop and feed the goose that lays the golden egg. Government consumes too much resources at the expense of the economy in general.

On the one hand....he has no choice....this is the effect of living in a country dependent on revenues from selling raw materials whose prices you do not control.

When the price of things go down....revenues go down....and salaries too go down.

On the other hand....what has Mr Governor been doing all this time? No investment in industrial development? No plan to effectively tax people? No plan to develop the state's agric potential to be a big revenue earner?

Them governors are lazy.

This is another good reason for Nigeria to stop relying on revenue from exporting things whose prices we do not control.
This governors are dependent on FG. FG should take 80% of d blame. The FG is lazy. Okay why has FG not created more revenue to give to d state.
Mark my words, almost the states will go bankrupt and be in heavy debts in months to come if the FG cannot generate money to give dem or u don't declare resource control. So that state manages it's own finances and send to FG a certain percentage(Federalism).

Keep on blaming governors that don't determine how much dey receive from the dullard himself buhari. Buhari is the lazy one that can't generate enuf money to disburse to them likee GEJ did.

This is totally unacceptable and uncalled for. Bunch of lazy governors. Why not diversify? Have multiple source of income.
Channel ur blame to buhari who can't generate money apart from oil in d country to give to d state. Or u give d states resource control.

I've always blamed governors right from the time Amaechi and his co-conspiring governors stubbornly forced the government of the day to share our money. Nigerian governors are just lazy to think on ways of generating internal revenue to their respective state. If it is always about sharing of allocation generated by crude oil proceeds, then there's no point having gubernatorial elections to elect governors. Any figurehead can do the job of collecting state allocations and spending it on salary alone and complaining its not enough.

6years on the same salary and no employment of any kind. Do development except the Phantom cargo airport. This is the highest level of evil for the Governor to cut the salary of civil servants by over 50%. The minimum wage now in the state is 9k. This man shall rot in Dante's 7th inferno. I lack word for this dude.

The man is a big dullard. He can generate a lot of revenue from MARABA 2 MASAKA alone. But they won't , they prefer to go to Abuja to beg.

If you try to complain he will start mentioning states where government still owe salaries and how many months they owing...

And you think everything is Buhari. Have you forgotten we have three tiers of government. And at the last count, the federal government under Buhari is doing great andd in healthy situation. They have increased the tax base and diversification is underway through agriculture. What can you say about the states?
