Here is a full story of the two deaths that sparked the Dallas shooting of white Police Officers in Texas on 8th July 2016.

The death of Alton Sterling

A few days ago a black man by the name Alton Sterling was shot and killed by two white Baton Rouge police officers Officers Blane Salamoni and Howie Lake in Lousiana.

The death of Philando Castile

Then on July 6th another black man by the name Philando Castile was killed at a traffic stop while driving with his girlfriend Diamond Reynolds & 4yr old daughter. He was shot by Jeronimo Yanez, a St. Anthony police officer in Falcon Heights, Minnesota.

Dallas shooting

Yesterday, as demonstrators marched through the city of Dallas in protest against the shooting of black men by police, gunfire broke out at around 20:45 Eastern time on Thursday (01:45 GMT Friday) . There was panic as people scrambled for cover. Five police officers were killed and seven wounded. It ended when a Dallas police bomb squad robot killed a gunman after negotiations failed.
