There is actually no day you don't get to hear all sorts of heart breaking news in Nigeria. In as much as some officers were promoted by the Police Service Commission under the former IG and it was in line with regulations of the force, who then is Idris Ibrahim to order it cancelled? worldmoney:Media is controlled by SW. SW is in Tinubu's pocket. We have seen this many times in 9ja history. SW blasted Shagari & encouraged Buhari to take over. SW media backed Abacha when it appeared he was friendly towards Abiola. After Abacha consolidated his power, media tune changed. SW media turned against GEJ and he lost election. All these are recent history. I did not witness it but records are there: SW media turned against Tafawa Balewa and the crisis that broke out partly due to it (there were other reasons) is well-known. I think it high time the south, put aside their difference and fight this hydraheaded monster, the south is the most peaceful region of the two and we can do without the north, I mean this is only going on because the south is two divided against itself and concerned about who is superior to whom, it high time the south unite. we have diplomats for the West, we have economist from the East and brave Military might from the South. what we lack is Unity, there is enough resources in the south, like take for example there is enough coal in Enugu to power nigeria for more that 400years not to talk of Southern Nigeria, we can never short change each other for we don't have that born to rule mentality display by a section of the north. The new IG seems to be getting it right and I can see him achieving a great result at the end of his tenure. How would an outgoing IG did posting/transfer knowing fully well that he would be leaving soon? I can bet the posting was/has a sinister motives and the new IG was right to cancel the posting. Let the new IG do the posting of his staffs by himself and take the full responsibility of its outcome. Make someone no come teach/spoil his work for him jare. |
