I guess he meant free money for the polithiefians, because as far as the common man is concerned, there is no money not to talk of free money, people are being laid off from work, business are going down and salaries are being owed I'm arrears.

But it has been about 13+ months since you have been elected president and why should you keep blaming the past govt for your present and foreseen failures?

The past govt was already diversifying the economy when the gullible zombies voted you in and you came and obliterated the good efforts by the previous govt.

through the comprehensive Agricultural Transformation Agenda program of the previous govt, they recorded many landmark achievements. Through agriculture they created thousands of jobs across the country. The provision of inputs in 10 Northern states enabled dry season farming; and profitably engaged over 250,000 farmers and youths even during the dry season.

Through the comprehensive Agricultural Transformation Agenda program, inflation fell to 7.8% in October 2013, its lowest since 2008, as a result of higher domestic food production.

they launched the Growth Enhancement Scheme to provide targeted support for seeds and fertilizers to 5 million farmersper year or 20 million farmers within fouryears. Through the scheme, they were providing subsidized inputs to farmers via an e-Wallet program. In fiscal year 2013, an estimated 4.2 million farmers received subsidized inputs. As a result, in 2013, they produced 1.1 million metric tonnes of dry season rice across 10 Northern states; and over 250,000 farmers and youths in these states are now profitably engaged in farming even during the dry season.

they launched Staple Crop Processing Zones to support investments in the entire agricultural value chain. there are significant private investment commitments from agribusiness ventures such as: Flour Mills of Nigeria, the Dangote Group, Syngenta, Indorama, AGCO, and Belstar Capital.

In 2012, 2.2 million metric tonnes of cassava chips were exported, exceedingthe Agricultural Transformation Agenda’s target by over 100%, while the 40% substitution of cassava for wheat has been achieved through research and collaboration with the IITA and Federal Institute for Industrial Research.Similarly, there has been a decline in wheat imports to Nigeria from an all-time high of 4,051,000 MT in 2010 to 3,700,000 MT in 2012.

About 200 women in Benue State were trained on how to make compost for farming and 360 farmers in the same state, were trained on climate change adaptability in agriculture. The environment and farming in Benue state got a boost from about 600 men and women in Benue state who participated in training on how to be environmentally better farmers.

they established community woodlots of 10 hectares each in Plateau and Kogi (10ha) states. they restored 10 hectares of degraded forest in Achareni Forest Reserves in Kogi state and rehabilitated 10 hectares degraded forest reserves in Niger state. the administration also launched Presidential Initiative on Coastal and River Bank protection on flood in Asa River (Kwara State). they established two skill acquisition centresto train people on the fabrication of solar -powered grinding machines in Kaiama and Baruten in Kwara State. and so on!

What policies has Buhari projected to diversify the economy? he is rather depriving private stakeholders of economic policy-making participation and turning Nigeria into a Socialist economy instead of a Mixed economy. Are we in a communist state?.

Somebody pls explain to me if this quoted post is trash or recycle bin ?

now that the president has brought up the issue of free money, I would like to ask, what has been done about former governors who are now senators receiving salary as senators and also receiving pensions from their various states?, I would also like to ask Mr president if as the sitting president he can swear that he is no longer receiving pension as a former president. No free money indeed, Nigerians need to wise up

It is because your fantastically corrupt and inept govt have no clue or dexterity on how to manage and evolve on the policies and programmes bequeathed to them by the previous govt.

Nigeria was ranked as the 3rd fastest growing economy in the world, but Buhari's govt took Nigeria to about 20th in Africa, not even the world. It took him virtually a year to appoint ministers and even the ministers he appointed were selected out of cynicism and cronyism, non of them is as competent as Jonathan's ministers.

What do you anticipate from an economy that the president is engrossed on fighting and silencing the opposition at the expense of economic planning?.
God bless you abundantly for this. some dindinrin people will still argue till hunger finish their entire generation. I pity for the youths of today.

Dont mind the zombies stupidly supporting this villain they call president. As I often say, most zombies were probably little or not born in the early 80ties when this man was head of state and so they do not know his antecedents.
This man i repeat does not SEND you all. He believes himself to be Fulani elitist. His headsmen cows will roam and his brothers will kill and noting will happen. His kids will attend the best schools in the world with Nigeria scarce dollars while he will tell you to no dollar for you to pay school fees for your wards abroad and that "those that can afford it" will still send kids abroad.
He will tell you that "era of free money is gone" but zahra and the rest will keep flying first class (3-4m) per return ticket to UK and pay school fees, accommodation, cost of living, cloths etc in the UK running into thousands of pounds. as much as 40k pounds a year while you stupid zombies hailing him will struggle with your Ibadan poly certificate and the be "advised" to go into farming.
Thinking of it, i thought they told us the man was broke, humble and did not steal any money. This is a man that declared 50 cows as the only business he had while his wife had a beauty parlor. How come he can pay the fees of like 4 kids in the UK in hard pounds? Even with the salaries federal government pays past head of states he still cannot afford it.
