President Buhari I agree with you, however, your extreme focus on anti-corruption is making you myopic to other facets or sectors that requires your urgent attention.

I listened to the new UK prime minister, Theresa May, yesterday and even in the face of uncertainties awaiting Britian, she elucidated her strategy plans and areas of focus, highlighting the importance of job creation and economic revamp.

On the other hand, Sir, you are yet to come up with a blueprint plan to get Nigeria out of its present recession. Companies are folding, jobs are being lost and industries are shrinking in sizes. Anti-corruption is not the only government policy, as a matter of fact, it is not a major government policy and with this I think you and your team have prioritized Nigeria's objectives wrongly.

This is more than a year since you took oath of office and there is not clear cut plan, even the citizenry do not understand your administration. Also, in few months you would be in your 2nd year in office and all we hear is anti-corruption, however, it is comical to note that your anti-corruption crusade has not yield fruits, no conviction yet so far and obviously appears to be a failed project.

My dear President, you have also made some mistakes in your appointments. Whilst, I am not ethnic biased or interested in the tribe of your appointees, I think it is necessary that square pegs and inserted in square holes. For instance, the appointment of Fashola, a lawyer, as minister of power, works and housing and Dr. Ngige, a medical doctor as minister for labour is a far cry and an anomaly. Hence, it is obvious while these ministers are not performing.

In conclusion, Mr President, you must have a re-think on the Nigeria Project. There is still time at the moment to get back to the drawing board and implement successful policies that would forever make Nigerians remember you.

But it has been about 13+ months since you have been elected president and why should you keep blaming the past govt for your present and foreseen failures?

The past govt was already diversifying the economy when the gullible zombies voted you in and you came and obliterated the good efforts by the previous govt.

through the comprehensive Agricultural Transformation Agenda program of the previous govt, they recorded many landmark achievements. Through agriculture they created thousands of jobs across the country. The provision of inputs in 10 Northern states enabled dry season farming; and profitably engaged over 250,000 farmers and youths even during the dry season.

Through the comprehensive Agricultural Transformation Agenda program, inflation fell to 7.8% in October 2013, its lowest since 2008, as a result of higher domestic food production.

they launched the Growth Enhancement Scheme to provide targeted support for seeds and fertilizers to 5 million farmersper year or 20 million farmers within fouryears. Through the scheme, they were providing subsidized inputs to farmers via an e-Wallet program. In fiscal year 2013, an estimated 4.2 million farmers received subsidized inputs. As a result, in 2013, they produced 1.1 million metric tonnes of dry season rice across 10 Northern states; and over 250,000 farmers and youths in these states are now profitably engaged in farming even during the dry season.

they launched Staple Crop Processing Zones to support investments in the entire agricultural value chain. there are significant private investment commitments from agribusiness ventures such as: Flour Mills of Nigeria, the Dangote Group, Syngenta, Indorama, AGCO, and Belstar Capital.

In 2012, 2.2 million metric tonnes of cassava chips were exported, exceedingthe Agricultural Transformation Agenda’s target by over 100%, while the 40% substitution of cassava for wheat has been achieved through research and collaboration with the IITA and Federal Institute for Industrial Research.Similarly, there has been a decline in wheat imports to Nigeria from an all-time high of 4,051,000 MT in 2010 to 3,700,000 MT in 2012.

About 200 women in Benue State were trained on how to make compost for farming and 360 farmers in the same state, were trained on climate change adaptability in agriculture. The environment and farming in Benue state got a boost from about 600 men and women in Benue state who participated in training on how to be environmentally better farmers.

they established community woodlots of 10 hectares each in Plateau and Kogi (10ha) states. they restored 10 hectares of degraded forest in Achareni Forest Reserves in Kogi state and rehabilitated 10 hectares degraded forest reserves in Niger state. the administration also launched Presidential Initiative on Coastal and River Bank protection on flood in Asa River (Kwara State). they established two skill acquisition centresto train people on the fabrication of solar -powered grinding machines in Kaiama and Baruten in Kwara State. and so on!

What policies has Buhari projected to diversify the economy? he is rather depriving private stakeholders of economic policy-making participation and turning Nigeria into a Socialist economy instead of a Mixed economy. Are we in a communist state?.
So u are one of those who believed Jonathan's propangada at that time... Lmao!! I thought d Nigerian people have learnt not to trust any govt when itz claiming achievements.. 250000 jobs, I laugh in tongues!!

DR JUNAID MOHAMMED SLAMS BUHARI
--------------//-----------------
Dr. Junaid Mohammed, a sharp critic of former President Jonathan, has bared the mind of most northern politicians on the Buhari led administration.
In a telephone interview with reporters, Junaid expresses disgust at the way the man the North supported runs the presidency.
Hear Junaid yourself:
“As far as we are concerned, the president’s principal adviser, his nephew, is one nonentity called Mamman Daura.
“Then there is his Chief of Staff [Abba Kyari], who was brought up by Mamman Daura.
“And the scoundrel who is the Secretary to the Government of Federation [Babachir David].
Then most of the incompetent ministers, whom are not cut out to work harmoniously with the legislature.
“And of course, there is the unfortunate additional bad luck of Buhari being surrounded by his own relations who are not politicians.
“For instance, Mamman Daura, virtually runs the government. He has veto power.
“There have been instances when Buhari gave written approval for things to be done, and that man threw the paper away.
“He has become such a tyrant in the Presidency. He is a nephew to Buhari.
“His father was the elder brother of Buhari.
“Although their age difference is about three years, his father is an elder brother to Buhari and they grew up together.
Abba Kyari] was brought up by Mamman Daura. His father left him with Mamman Daura to go to Borno, his original state where he was a village head.
“And for all intents and purposes, he is a son of Mamman Daura. He is now the chief of staff to Buhari.
“Then [Kabir Daura] the personal assistant to Buhari himself, is the son of Mamman Daura.
“And the girl [Aisha Abubakar] who was picked out of nowhere from Sokoto. She is not a member of the APC. She has nothing to do with anybody.
“She was picked and made a minister by Mamman Daura and Buhari because her mother is Buhari’s sister.
“So it is really a contradiction for Buhari to have, for example a nephew of his, the son of his elder sister as the Minister of Water Resources [Hadi Sirika].
“He has another niece of his, the elder sister of [Sirika], who is now a national commissioner in the INEC, Amina Zakari.
Buhari nominated her even before he became president when Jonathan asked him to nominate somebody to represent the North West in INEC.
“He chose that woman.
“Unfortunately for the country and for Buhari’s legacy himself, he has packed the Presidency with his own relations.
“There are many people who are his own cousins in the Presidency.
“In my own understanding of history and politics, this is what you call nepotism. And if you are against corruption, you cannot be nepotistic,” Junaid lamented.

We forget too soon. That's the problem.

We also forget that diversification is a journey and the past administration has started, as you rightly pointed out. What is needed is to sustain and speed it up instead of blame game propaganda.

Because, as a poster before me said, 14± after being elected, to what degree is Nigeria economy more diversified since it is left in ur hands. Rather he has seen it to recession.
