if it a friend u ve known for a while maybe years... 1-6months den use the next 6months for marriage proper. for someone you just met maybe at the office, wedding or burial etc.... 4-8months den use 6months to plan and do ur wedding. |

If dating is not engagement,then the guy is just fooling around..how can a guy take you out,buy you gifts and sleeps with you.then you call it "dating".pls dat is not dating sef oh,na original "marriage"b dat.if a guy does all these and still doesnt know where your village is then am sorry for you.for all i care,money can be replaced but your body..hehehehe.....my take is.if dating does not involve taking her serious for marriage pls run!run! run!...in my dictionary dating equals engagement.. 1 Like |

In my own opinion, dating should be between 6-12 months before engagement. Also I believe before two people gets engaged, they should be ready for marriage. And before you say you are ready for marriage, you have to be financially, emotionally, mentally and socially ready. So, between engagement and marriage should not be more than three months max.  |
